Crash on peace agreement

I'm playing IGC 2.2 with patch 1.09, UK version.

I am at war with numerous countries, including Spain, the leader of the Alliance.

Everytime I propose peace, I get thrown back to the desktop. No error messages. I have had random crash before, but this one is the first that systematically happen on the same occasion.

I have 128mb RAM with a K62-300 and nothing is running in the background, except the Antivirus. Disabling it didn't solve the problem. And my hdd has been recently defragmented.

Any solutions before I have no hair left?

P.S. I forgot to mention that I am playing with the option -NOMUSIC.

P.P.S. I also forgot to mention that I have the latest drivers for all of my hardware.

Part of the problem...

My problem is Russia. As soon as Russia enters the war, I can't make peace with her or Spain. They are the only two left in the war and I can't sign peace.

Try running with the game on the slowest speed. If that doesn't help, try changing what you are doing in some way. I had one where moving 5 armies in a group from a seige to the next province CTD every time. When I moved 1 army then the other 4, the problem didn't happen again.

I did try something different. I tried conquering all of Russian Siberia before signing peace. I tried signing peace with every minor nations I could sign with, but still, If I try to sign peace with either Spain or Russia, I crash. If I sign peace with Spain before Russia comes in, no problem. After, crash.
