Crash on Mouse-over

This is an... odd issue, playing completely normal CKII (MLYP).

Playing as a fairly successful Rus looking to become the Russian Empire soon, when I try to look at the requirements for such by hovering my mouse over the 'create' button for the empire, the game crashes. Any ideas as to what this might be, what I should look at for details about the problem, etc?

This just happens in this one game, with that one button? I'm not aware it's a known problem. What version and checksum show on the main game menu? Are you using any mods?

At least two saves connected with a specific game have this issue, as far as I know it's just that button. While I've installed some mods none of them are in use and the checksum is MLYP.

du jure kingdom mapmode also causes a CTD when pressed.

OK, despite the checksum being right I'm sure you have a bad installation. Try a full clean reinstall:

If this is Steam: move any valued save games elsewhere and uninstall the game from within Steam. Then manually delete ALL the CK2 directories from under BOTH the Steam and MyDocuments folders. Now reinstall the game from Steam, and run the Verify just to make sure it all came down properly.

If this is GamersGate: Move valued save games elsewhere, and uninstall the game. Manually delete the CK2 directories from where GG put them and from MyDocuments. Reinstall the game (this time pick somewhere NOT under the system path c:\program files\ ), download 1.111 patch again and apply it.
