Normally installing a mod is as simple as putting it in the mod folder with the launch file for the launcher but I get a crash at creating world everytime I try to launch the mod. I use steam but I launch the game via the launcher in the game folder so that shouldnt be a problem unless Rome is different from EU III. Could someone explain to me what I did wrong? I put the province textures in the vanilla folder as well as the cache in the mod folder but I still get a crash whatever I do.

Have you put the vanilla cache files supplied in the download in the vanilla folder as well?

Have you successfully run other map-changing mods in the past?

Not on this game, I have on other Paradox games however. I should say I never installed mods for Rome before but I have done so extensively on a lot of paradox games.

Finally figured it out. I was replacing the cache folders with the ones provided when I should have been putting them inside the cache folders. I thought it was creating a redundant folder but I was wrong.
