I managed to play the game once (for about 3 hours). Upon exiting to desktop, I was no longer able to start the game. The custom cursor will show up, then quickly changed into beach ball. The game will then be shown as Not Responding in Force Quit Applications dialog.

I shut down the game normally each time.

Every time I start the game I got the spinning beach ball. Once in a while the game would launch properly. It becomes really frustrating now — any ideas?

Hi keroppi,

According to your log, the Steam Overlay is causing a crash. You can try to run the game without the overlay to see if it helps. Try selecting Tyranny in your Steam Library, right-clicking on it (or whatever the Mac equivalent is) to show the context menu, and select "Properties". There should be a checkbox labeled "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game". Try unchecking that option and running the game again. If it works, there is something wrong with Steam's overlay code. You could also try reinstalling Steam (sadly) or validating the Tyranny data files by clicking on the Local Files tab of the Properties window and clicking "Verify Integrity of Game Cache". Please let us know what you find.
