Hi,

When you encounter a crash, an error or an unexpected event which appears to be breaking the game. Please always attach your log file along side your issue description.
You can use http://pastebin.com for example and paste the link since the forum does not accept that long text to my knowledge.
* On Windows, the log file is found in the Steam game install folder under Cities_Data/output_log.txt (to open the game install folder, right click your game in the Steam library, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab and select Browse local files)
* On Linux, the log is found at ~/.config/unity3d/Colossal Order/Cities: Skylines/Player.log
* On OSX, the log is found at ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

Thank you for helping us out !

output was so long it even crashed pastebin lol. I'm sorry, I have to send this in three parts.

FIRST 3rd: https://pastebin.com/1QbC7RWS

SECOND 3rd: https://pastebin.com/7wCuqqQB

FINAL 3rd: https://pastebin.com/b2dY2ZFz

Was working fine last night. Today I installed green cities and a hand full of interesections and some trains and cars from workshop.

Started a new city, and had it paused while I put in the initial infrastructure, then unpaused and got the error. Initially without any details, I closed and then reopended the game. I then loaded in the file save I was working in last night and got this error.

I also noticed that none of the green cities content had loaded in, but the other content updates to the other DLC's I have did.

Cities Skylines won't start

I have it on Steam, and it won't start. I don't have the log (possibly because the game itself never starts). I also tried deleting the files in %AppData% and reinstalling the redistributable game dependencies--all to no avail. The error message that pops up is here: https://pastebin.com/hrsmn26T

Some people appear to have had this problem in the past, so I hope it can be resolved quickly.

I can start the game normally, however after a while of playing the SCREEN freezes (still have music and can build stuff, however the screen remains the same) or I do get artifacts. I tried other games, I don't get artifacts in them, so graphic card should be fine. I'll try to reinstall the game and check if the files are damaged somehow, but so far this seems to be the only game that's causing those issues.

I have every DLC except the Relaxation Station.

Since the green cities update, I cannot get my game to play without crashing after 10-20mins. Up to the latest update, I have been running the game with over 100 mods and 4,500 assets, without issue.

Now I have DISABLED ALL MODS AND ASSETS, (capitals needed as I dont want, 'you need to disable your mods and assets posted continually thank you)

Even if I sit at the maim menu for 5-20 mins the game still crashes so not a mod or asset issue as far as I am concerned but they have been disabled nonetheless.

I have played this game through many updates and I know the drill to do with mods and assets and have managed to find the mod/asset and disable until it has been updated. This time there is nothing more I can do. All testing was done with new maps.

I have uploaded my output.txt as requested.

All help appreciated if you have read above first. Thank you.

EDIT:

Now less than 24hrs since I posted above, CS will not even get to main menu. It sits at your logo and thats it. Nothing!!!! And this is a fresh re-install.

I don't know but, this error keep son popping up and don't know how to fix it. Also, when I zoom out far away, all the cars turn black (as seen in image). Cars were moving back and forwards like a GIF and the map looks weird (the unloaded parts)

Hi alter install CS Green DLC I'm experiencing a lot of issues, The most problematic is when I exit the game to desktop (the exit itself happens after a long amount of time), I receive an alert of crash. I'm sending the most recent dmp file. Also the screenshots I make just disappear from the Steam folder. The game confirm the f12 shot, but I can't find the images in any place. The Asset Editor has issues as well. The game was really fine before the update. So, what's going on?!?

I think I've got a memory leak of some sort. I'm on Linux myself, but another user has reported similar stuff on both Windows and Linux, and noticed it happened right after the release of Green Cities. Basically, this game seems to just eat RAM ever since the release of Green Cities. It just fills up RAM, and when it runs out, it starts using swap memory. The only way I can keep it from crashing is by making sure I'm running no other programs other than the OS, Steam, and C:S. Even then, it may use up to 500MB of swap memory on an empty map. Don't even have a city yet. And using swap memory is just bad. Textures will appear and disappear, game will stutter. It's just glitchy once it starts eating away at my swap. Hard drives and SSDs clearly aren't fast enough to function as RAM. RAM requirements for this game have basically doubled.

I attached a log after I crashed the game by flooding my memory.

I attached a log after I crashed the game by flooding my memory.

I run Ubuntu 16.04 and used to run on 8GB RAM and the game would only work vanilla. By now, I've changed my set up and added RAM - from a 6 core to an 8 core and from those 8 to 24GB RAM. Nowadays, it's much better, but I still do have to limit the amount of mods and assets I use.

I don't know if that helps you in any way, but the game needing insane amounts of RAM is a typical thing, in Windows and Linux both.

Not 100% certain, but I do believe that the error: "object not set to a reference...NullReferenceException" is related to a road that is not attached to an object correctly. The mod "Move It" can INDIRECTLY create the error after you have moved a building/obj away from the originally attached road... I have noticed that I get similar multiple errors after I use the MOVE IT mod to RELOCATE a building or object far from its originally place home... Try deleting the building and replacing next to its originally functional road... As I stated earlier, I'm not 100% certain, but have only noticed by observation... Blessings and hope this helps, St.Khawnan
