Crash during Game start

Greetings, as of the last update whenever i make a new game to play. i am having issues. When i load into the game. and Hit the Begin button to close the dialog. i crash to desktop. if i do not touch that dialog. the game is fine. i can put my first research in. etc. but pressing the button makes me crash to desktop.

i have reinstalled the game. redownloaded my mods. tried without any mods. all of it. and no solution so far.

Any ideas on how to solve the issue?. i love stellaris but cannot play for the last 2-3 weeks now..

maybe the tutorial robot guy is causing you to crash?

I think you can disable it in your settings.txt to see if that helps

Sounds like some event triggered by on_begin is faulty. Are you sure it happens on clear install and no mod?

yes i tried in both version. i will try again after new years as i am speed capped on my net atm..

Ok just tried a full clean install. Deleted the folder in my documents and unsubscribed from all Workshop items. Deleted the game and reinstalled it.

Still crash as soon as i hit "Begin" Button after loading into a game..

reinstalled Direct X and runtime ?

you cannot reinstall DX11. it comes with Windows 10 itself. but i did for DX9 and all VCRedist versions. i even reinstalled windows recently still no fix. I am getting frustrated as i love the game but cannot play since 1.4.1 update...

You can try Tech Support subforum for more helps about crashes.

Go to your "...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\logs" folder, and there should be an "exceptions.log" txt file. Upload that here.

here it is. it talks about a read arror at a specific memory adress but not sure where..

Here are some possible things to look at.
From what I could use my google fu to find out, the most likely suspects are:

Registery error -You could try ccleaner or something to see if it fixes it (preferably after uninstall)
Faulty RAM- Try a memtest software?
Faulty video driver - Roll back/update your gfx driver.

I am testing rolling back gfx drivers to 376.19 from 376.33 at the moment.. (Nvidia Drivers) i have a feeling that may have been the culprit. as timelines kind of match...
