Crash after Alt+Tab

I was playing for around 2-3 hours and I alt-tab to see the time , and that`s when it crashed . This is the first time that it happened to me .

It didn`t happend since then . Maybe it was a one time thing .

I've always assumed that it is a Clausewitz engine issue. I cannot alt-tab out of any Paradox Clausewitz game without it crashing. On EUIV, CKII and Stellaris the game will also just randomly close itself down if left for a while. Not had it yet on HOI IV though.

I've been playing with my own mod and two mods that add some icons to divisions. I did send the inbuilt crash report thingy. Btw, if I open a 2nd instance of HoI4 it will give a false-positive of crash report thingy.
I can't tell if some of the CTDs happened with alt+tab and clicking somewhere with my mouse... can't recall

There are 4 .dmp-files attached, do you remember which one is the one from where you ALT+Tab'ed and crashed? They all have dates in their names.

I'd suspect the 2 1st ones from day 9? try those first...
I can't tell for sure though. I think all of them are from some CTD, of which Alt+tab might be the cause of some, at least I got to believe so.
I do hope they can be of use. I'll definitely come back here if I get a new CTD as soon as it happens, while my memory is fresh.

I have noticed that the games sometimes thinks the alt button is stuck down after alt-tabbing so the next time you press F4 for the resource map mode it thinks you pressed ALT-F4 and shuts down instantly. But if you got an error message then it's something else.

all CTDs I've had in HoI4 (and HoI3 (and Stellaris)) were with no immediate error message

I've logged the crash in our internal bug database so if the person fixing it needs any more info they'll ask here

I've had a bunch of crashes, most I know why (obvious modding mistakes, easily solved), but I've had a few I can't tell why they would have happened. I speculate I've had a few CTDs when saving the game which might have been due to modding too, as they were at speed 5 with auto-saves. I don't think I had any alt+tab CTD. I haven't played that much since I ended my playthrough last week though.
I'll let you know if I have CTDs that seem relevant. Gonna start a game with my updated mod
