If you assign the honorary title of Court Dwarf to a character with the dwarf trait, it gives a +10 opinion bonus. I thought it was really funny when I found that out.
Is there a historic example for this? It is somewhat strange, that it gives a +10 instead of a -10 like the jester.

That doesn't exactly sounds like a title you would want to have.
Honestly I feel it odd that Jester gives a negative. The jester was someone who could speak their mind completely freely to the king. In France picking the court jester was a privilege of the city of Troyes. The court jester of the last count of Gruyeres was a lot wealthier and more respected than his master.
It's certainly a lot more prestigious than being made a virtual slave for being a midget.
Aren't all of your direct vassals members of your court?Wait, you can appoint Court Dwarfs if you have a dwarf vassal?
