If you assign the honorary title of Court Dwarf to a character with the dwarf trait, it gives a +10 opinion bonus. I thought it was really funny when I found that out.

Is there a historic example for this? It is somewhat strange, that it gives a +10 instead of a -10 like the jester.

When I notice a vassal is a dwarf that's the first thing I do is appoint to be my personal dwarf.
Hate to say it whenever I do it though I end up thinking of the little guy as Tyrion trying to be my Hand.

Honestly I feel it odd that Jester gives a negative. The jester was someone who could speak their mind completely freely to the king. In France picking the court jester was a privilege of the city of Troyes. The court jester of the last count of Gruyeres was a lot wealthier and more respected than his master.
It's certainly a lot more prestigious than being made a virtual slave for being a midget.
Well, yeah, but no king ever chose one of his noblemen as jester. Imagine the third most powerful duke of the realm having to wear a jester's clothes all the time and perform silly pranks. It's hard to imagine the guy being grateful for his important role at court.
As an emperor, I made one of my vassal kings Court Dwarf, and he liked me more for it.
