At the start of the game (1066) I can't start in the county Melgueil (or province 220 - Montpellier in history files) because in the selection screen it says that it's ruled by a prince-bishop but as soon as I start the game the county isn't ruled by a prince-bishop but by a count. I didn't check if it was also the case on later dates. It happened since 1.07 came out, before this patch Melgueil was playable as a count. I'm on a Mac.

This will make the county playable as intended and then change it into a prince-bishopric in 1211 which is both intended and historically accurate.

The problem was that the redmarked characters was given the bishopric of Maguelone which would make them clerics rather than feudal rulers. As you can see even females was given the bishop title which is terribly wrong.

Thank you for bringing this up. Some moderator should report this along with my little fix here.

It wouldn't do very much considering it's the capital until 1211.1.1.

that's right. but since the file already exists..

Wouldn't Montpelier be a better alternative, though?

not really. on later starting dates Montpellier is vassal of Aragon. not sure the whole province have to follow this path.

The rulers in the file, where the counts of Melgueil and the county itself is also named Melgueil it therefor is more logical to have b_melgueil as the capital when it is a county. Specially since Montpellier was a lordship by itself.
