I tried to reduce late game lag by significantly reducing the cost of MAINTAINING (NOT PRODUCING) huge armed forces. My most important change to achieve this was the reduction of the IC to supply ratio from 4.0 to 2.0 (in other words you need to allocate the double amount of IC to produce the same number of supplies). I must say it worked, as by late 1945 the lag was still bareable (about 6 seconds per day- i made sure there were no ghost fleet problems). The war was still major in terms of unit numbers, at least to my taste. Furthermore, it is now more difficult to conquer the world as a minor country, and this makes me happy.

I am a greedy bastard, so i thought of further reducing the ratio to 1 supply/ic. By the year 1939 the major players have yet again managed to create armies strong enough for a fun game, with the exception of the Soviet Union.

The soviets acquire too many units too fast, so they didn't manage to increase their industry to an appropriate level (too much IC spent on maintaing their troops). So, in my handsoff game, i am sure that they will get steam-rolled by the germans in no time. The germans already have
62 inf
8 armor
2 HQs
1 cavalry (the austrian one...)
10 TACs
1 CAS
6 interceptors
1 fighter).

The soviets only

101 inf
15 motorized infantry
5 cavalry
4 light armor
1 HQ,
11 mountaineers
8 interceptors
4 TACs
LESS ic than the germans. So, changes are necessary.

I know i can change the build priorities for the soviet union so that they will build more industry in the pre-war years, but i thought of something more... historical.

Is there a parameter that can create country-specific changes to the cost and/ or time of building IC? If yes, it would be a nice addition to my already modified purges event (simply put, if Stalin remains in power, the soviets get to use his 5-year plan for a rapid increase in IC). I got some ideas from the engineering techs data but before i try creating commands i don't know, i thought of asking for help from more experienced modders.

Thanks in advance,
a modder shouting "no more tests today"
