Planning to become a monarchy at age of absolutism with insane amount of goverment reform modifiers I started as venice, gonna play to very end of game even becoming revolutionary(I want to have Napoleon as Italy :D)
There is a very powerful event that can change your gameplay insanely:Council of Ten. It reduces your republican tradition by 20 and reduce income of it but gives autonomy reduction bonus and nobles boost too.
Or I can go other way around. I can gain republican tradition modifier every month but get stability cost incrase and nobles lose power each month
Wich one is better you think? Autonomy reduction sounds super strong and nobility influance is nice but republican tradition is gonna be super hard to maintain until age of absolutism hits. I thought I ask your opinion here
literally no one mentioned this event ever it seems since google is clueless other than wiki page :D

RT is pretty easy to maintain as Venice with the Doge's Palace. I very recently did a Venice run, and could reelect the same Doge for 37 years without dipping under 50. Hell, I don't even think I dipped under 60. I'd go for the one with the best bonuses regardless of RT and just let the Lottery decide for a few rulers.
