I'm an absolute fanatic of CK2 it's a stunning game and I'm rather frustrated trying to work out why one of the core features in my game doesn't work.
The problem is that whenever I click on the council screen my game crashes, it locks up freezes and crashes in a matter of seconds.
Now, I've had this on vanilla ck2- when playing with the AGOT mod I'm fine obviously because the council files are redone in the mod. I play with a few mods now and then but I don't actually think I've ever edited the game files located in the steam app's folder. It may be completely coincidence but around the time this problem arose I was creating my own mod, but all I did with that was copy some files over from the main game files into the my documents/paradox/ck2/mods and put them in their own folder as I've found it necessary to do with mods- I deleted these files from the mod directory and still left the main game files alone so I think it may just be a coincidence.
I've already tried deleting the local content from steam and reinstalling but to no avail.
I play with the old gods DLC, norse portrait's and ruler designer if that's of any interest and I would love to have this amazing game work wholly with all it's features again. Thanks in advance for any and all help- critical on what I've done or otherwise, I just really need some way to get this fixed and to be frank I'm not clever enough to work it out myself.
