I feel like it would be interesting to see the Zoroastrian fleshed out, although I've little knowledge of it sadly, I'd feel it'd be a interesting if it were to be more unique and possibly tied in more with Persia.

I think it'd be a challenging achievement as persia to conquer the lands of cyrus the great and possibly convert it all to Zoroastrianism.

In light of this, maybe playing as a nation with Zoroastrian as its religion could have events for provinces with Zoroastrian monuments of the past.

I'd like more religions to be realistically viable, before they're super fleshed out :(.

Buddhism is a good example of the bad. In adding flavor, Paradox actually made it *worse*. It's actually stronger w/o the DLC mechanic, and mediocre even then.

The only non Abrahamic faiths that aren't instant switch bait are new world religion reform faiths and Hindu, and Hindu is borderline.

I see what you mean.
Zoroastrian is a but out there and instead of radically changing them perhaps it's best if they were made less generic.

Then again I suppose this is shadowed by the more important introduction of unique ideas to more nations.

Buddhism could be resolved (or made more tolerable) by reducing the Discipline bonus to 2.5% (thus making the penalty a more manageable 5%), and giving bonus' at both ends of the spectrum as well (Mil bonus' at -1 Dip Rep, Adm/Diplo bonus' at -5/10% Discipline).

I would beg to differ on Hindu, though. Being able to increase your Monarch's skills is very nice.

Why not work reclamation into a mechanic for it?
