I hope the map will stilll recieve more work, because it looks a bit too cartoonish right now. I am pleased to see that leaders will have pictures. And I can't help but wonder what all those numbers and icons will mean...![]()

Well...I quite like the map as it is in the screenshot: uncluttered (mostly) and that slightly dated feel. Utilitarian, perhaps? But please, don't spend unnecessary resources on making the map pretty, or having gratuitous animation: it's the gameplay that we're all after.
Steve.

I like the map. Lots of rivers. I wonder if there will be bridges in the game. I don't know about the units however... And who are those guys in suits near Copenhagen? Diplomats?

"Each country will have a government with a head of state, a head of government, and eight ministers/staff chiefs. Each of the latter group will include historical persons like Ribbentrop, Molotov, and Roosevelt. These ministers each have a distinct personality, which gives various benefits or penalties to their field of work. They also have various skill and loyalty levels. The research work being done here is staggering, as we are implementing everything from the Foreign Minister of Belgium (Paul-Henri Spaak) to the Brazilian Minister of Justice (Alexandre Marcondes Filho). "
OK I am officially impressed now.

I would also give anything to know what military historian is working on the research for the game, as Johan said. Over 700 technologies! WOW!!! Is there nothing Paradox cannot do?

Lets just say my expectations are high. But this particular detail exceeds them. Now if only I can keep Morgenthau from leaking to the Russkies . . .Originally posted by Georg I.
