I hope the map will stilll recieve more work, because it looks a bit too cartoonish right now. I am pleased to see that leaders will have pictures. And I can't help but wonder what all those numbers and icons will mean... :D

Well...I quite like the map as it is in the screenshot: uncluttered (mostly) and that slightly dated feel. Utilitarian, perhaps? But please, don't spend unnecessary resources on making the map pretty, or having gratuitous animation: it's the gameplay that we're all after.

Steve.

Steve.

Well, don't get me wrong, a map is one of the least of my concerns. I am more concerned with gameplay, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't appreciate a better looking map also. ;)

And I am quite glad that HOI will be having the best feature of all: No PTI! Yay! :D

"Each country will have a government with a head of state, a head of government, and eight ministers/staff chiefs. Each of the latter group will include historical persons like Ribbentrop, Molotov, and Roosevelt. These ministers each have a distinct personality, which gives various benefits or penalties to their field of work. They also have various skill and loyalty levels. The research work being done here is staggering, as we are implementing everything from the Foreign Minister of Belgium (Paul-Henri Spaak) to the Brazilian Minister of Justice (Alexandre Marcondes Filho). "

OK I am officially impressed now.

I would also give anything to know what military historian is working on the research for the game, as Johan said. Over 700 technologies! WOW!!! Is there nothing Paradox cannot do? :D

So they let that cat out of the bag.:D

Awesome. And just maybe it's more impressive than it sounds.:D

I like the map and sprites - reminds me of posters etc. of that period. :)

The map is just as I hoped it would be, but I do hope there is an alternative unit graphics scheme. I think simple symbols would fit the map better than the 3D-miniatures. Then again, I suppose the unit graphics will be easy to modify.

That little world map is very informative as well. Take a look at the Pacific Ocean. Looks like lot of the little islands are going to be in the game.
