Exactly, everyone quit whining.
Ugh, flash backs to the Moo3 boards...

In my opinion, it is one thing to say that the graphics could be improved - it is quite another to say that they are, for example, "rubbish" (I'm not saying that you said this at all). My problem is with the unconstructive criticism.

Is anyone seriously afraid that HOI will contain graphics that are a step backwards from EU2?Please, have some faith in Paradox. EU1 & EU2 were amazing (& graphically pleasing) games. They have a track record of producing good games - let's give them a little credit.

Well, I think I made the point I was trying to make, so I'm content to leave this discussion at that, & get back to more substantive discussions.

If criticism can prevent Paradox from releasing an ugly game (or make it slightly less ugly), then criticism must be voiced. I don't understand why some consider this "whining" and say that one should better not criticize at all, so that developers also release screenshots as early in future.
I ask you: What's the point of releasing early screenshots, if it's not about receiving early feedback? And I can't help it that the game looks plain ugly (I wish it weren't and I needn't criticize).
The real problem is that some here are too uncritical and too readily praise the graphics. Ask anyone, who isn't a hardcore fan and forum member and you're bound to hear a different answer.
Don't get me wrong. I do not want superfluous eyecandy. I just want an appropriate and tasteful design. Right now, HOI misses that mark by miles. And yes, gameplay is everything (hey, I'm a boardgamer, so don't lecture me), but if we're debating screenshots, the graphics issue cannot and should not be ignored.
