Här får ni gärna posta allt vad ni tar er för och allt ni planerar att göra. Ni är inte tvingade att posta någon AAR men det kan vara kul. Vad ni måste posta dock är info om vilka ledare ni vill ha. Det finns belöningar att hämta om du kommer i tid till sessionen, det vill säga senast 19:00. Mehran och jag kommer hålla koll på detta. Belöningarna är följande:

Efter varje session kan du claima en core på vilken som helst provins i spelet som man har upptäckt i spelet. Man skriver namnet på provisen samt namnet på staden i denna provins. Är inte alltid samma.

Man får även välja en belöning om man skriver en AAR. Dvs en kort berättelse om hur den senaste sessionen gick.

Man får fyra ledare varje session uppdelade som ni själva vill.

Runt 1500 kan man välja en explorer eller en conquistador istället för en general/admiral. Det kommer meddelas innan en session om slutdatumet skulle ligga väldigt nära 1500 och man då får be om dessa.

The Unification​

In the year of our lord 1453, the English empire saw a new beginning. The bloodthirsty Scots in the north were increasing their raids into English provinces and had also joined the Dukes of Burgundy in an unholy alliance. The Duke of York, later to be named King Edward IV, sent his greatest general, the earl of Warwick, north to subdue the Scots and unite the Anglo-Saxon's under one banner. The Scottish highland soon fell to the English army but when a Burgundian fleet was sighted outside Dover the Duke himself set sail for the Dutch lowlands. At this point the French monarch had also started his expansion northward and the Duke had no problem plundering the northernmost Burgundian provinces. Word came from home with the latest recruits from London that Ireland had joined the Scots in their war and were trying to help their misguided comrades. York abandoned the Dutch lowlands to French oppression and sat sails for Ireland with full coffers. It would be long until the Dutch people would once again be free.

Ireland soon fell when the English armies in Scotland, used to harsh conditions in the highlands, now were shipped over to help in the conquest of the Irish countryside. In the peace of Dublin the two countries swore their vows to the English crown and peace once again settled on the British islands.

The English economy was then strengthened due to several newly built manufactories and the navy was expanded to make way for the Kings plans of English Atlantic dominance. This campaign was started somewhat prematurely when word came from the north that the Danish king had taken mentally ill and conducted several unfruitful wars against Sweden, Brandenburg and France. The King saw the chance to free the Atlantic Islands from Scandinavian oppression and swiftly sent out two fleets, one bound for mainland Denmark and the second bound for the Faeroe Islands. The campaign in Denmark was an easy affair for the King, which couldn't be said for the naval campaign. Lord general Norfolk led the landing on the Faeroe Islands against the main part of the Danish army, twenty thousand men, holding the beaches. Against impossible odds the Lord general was able to detach some of his troops to land on a non-occupied beach as the main landing was on the way and these companies reached the battle just in time to turn the tide as the general and his main forces were being driven out into the sea. The rest of the Islands were then no match for the Lord General even if the presence of a garrison of 5000 polar bear riders on Greenland delayed the campaign for a season.

After the peace at Brömsebro 1483 the English Empire now spans all the northern Atlantic Islands with minor holdings on the continent that are to be sold out, as they comprise no real worth to the King.

Tjuren Ferdinand

Alla har vi sett den gulliga versionen av den blomälskande tjuren Ferdinand som varje år visas på svensk television, men få är de som känner till den verkliga bakgrundshistorien om hur långt Ferdinand kunde tänka sig att gå i sitt sökande efter de mest väldoftande blommorna!

Det hela började en stilla vårdag under en korkek utanför Madrid, där Ferdinand som vanligt satt och luktade på blommorna, när han fick ett fruktansvärt besked från sin mor - det fanns inga fler exotiska blommor att få tag på inom det Kastilianska riket! Ferdinands mor som - trots att hon var en ko - var en mycket skicklig strateg och blomsterhandlare, förklarade att det lättaste sättet att få tag på nya arter, vore om Kastilien expanderade och intog nya marker med väldoftande blommor.

Ferdinand begav sig genast in till staden för att dryfta saken med kungen. Denne var dock inte alls intresserad av expansion, utan verkade tvärtemot ganska nöjd med vapenstilleståndet med arvfienden Aragon. Ferdinand blev så paff att han satte sig på golvet - rakt på en humla! Som vilken annan tjur som helst skulle gjort i den situationen, så rusade Ferdinand rakt fram - och råkade spetsa kungen på sina horn... Det fanns plötsligt inte så många andra alternativ än att Ferdinand själv tog över tronen, och så fick det bli!

Ferdinands första beslut som kung var att förklara krig med Aragon. Han körde helt sonika över Aragons arméer, och i första fredsavtalet fick han tillgång till alla Aragons ö- och kustprovinser. Detta var givetvis inte nog för Ferdinand, som snart åter förklarade krig mot Aragon och deras allierade i Neapel och Navarra. Navarra annexerades nästan omedelbart, Aragon kvästes snabbt och vasalliserades och eftersom den nyvunna Aragonska ön Sicilien utgjorde en perfekt ingång till Italien intogs även alla nepolitanska provinser utom huvudstaden.

För att fira de nyvunna provinserna lät Ferdinand ställa till med stor fest, och skickade efter blommor från det nya imperiets alla hörn. I glädjeruset av att lukta på alla dessa nya blommor gav han sedan sitt nyskapade imperium namnet Spanien - som översatt från tjuriska betyder ungefär "den stora blomsterhinken".

Efter ett par års fundering beslutade sig Ferdinand för att de blommor som doftade bäst var de från Neapel och snart startades därför ett nytt krigståg mot Italien! Under åren som gått hade Neapel dock lyckats alliera sig med diverse andra italienska stater och kriget gick därför lite trögare än planerat. Dock slutade det hela istället med att inte bara Neapel, utan även större delen av Toscana, hamnade under spanskt styre. Som ett litet stickspår passade Ferdinand också på att ta tillbaka Gibraltar från muslimerna, eftersom alla vet att dom bästa pizzorna bakas på Gibraltar!

Efter de nya vinsterna i Italien tyckte Ferdinand att det fick vara nog med krig på ett tag och satsar istället på att bygga upp en blomstrande ekonomi, men vem vet vad som väntar i framtiden? Ryktet säger att Portugiserna hittat ett nytt land i väster med mängder av nya växter att utforska och Ferdinand är ju inte den som säger nej till en möjlighet att lukta på blommor!

Brandenburg hade alltid varit ett litet, fredligt land... Tills Friedrich II kom till tronen. Friedrich hade storhetsvansinne. Han var fast besluten att visa sig en av de största ledarna i världen, problemet vad bara att han styrde ett av de minsta länderna i Europa. Ingen brydde sig om de små länderna. För att vinna respekt satte han en plan i verket, en plan som innebar att Brandenburg skulle bli det största och mäktigaste landet som någonsin skådats.

Planens första steg var att införliva alla de små tyska rikena under Brandenburgs flagga, något som inte skulle ske lättvindigt. Norra tyskland bestod vid denna tid av två stora allianser, för stora för brandenburg att ensamt ge sig på. Men Friedrich var slug. Han bestämde sig för att spela ut allianserna mot varandra. Han gick med i den ena alliansen och anföll sedan den andra med hjälp av sina nya "vänner".

Det stora målet att bli mäktigast i värden krävde kust så Friedrich expanderade först norrut. Provinser erövrades, men de erövrades slugt. Brandenburg var ännu för svagt för att göra sig ovän med resten av världen. Man skyllde krigen på andra och avsade sig allt ansvar. Detta fungerade väldigt väl, Brandenburg sågs inte alls som någon badboy.

Åren gick, Brandenburg blev mäktigare och mäktigare. När grannarna såg hur de växte slöt fler provinser upp frivilligt, Brandenburg började få en del av den respekt de förtjänade. Tyvärr dog Friedrich innan han såg sin dröm uppfyllas men andra härskare förde fanan vidare. Joachim hade ett utomordentligt härskarnamn och Achilles var nästan odödlig. Deras sammanlagda ansträngningar gjorde Brandenburg till det snabbast expanderande landet i Europa under denna tid (sett till procent av ursprunglig storlek). Arbetet var ännu inte klart men det hade börjat bra.

In the middle of the 15th Century, French Monarch Charles VII was displeased with his realm. The decentralized state of his part of Europe was a nuisance to the king. The neighbouring states, While friendly to the crown, did charge Tolls for transportation of goods. The King was also agitated by the deliveries of Wine from the southern regions beeing delayed for this same reason. It was clear this state of affairs could not continue.

The question was then, Would there have to be bloodshed in order to unite the Realm? The King thought otherwise, and so rigorous diplomacy was set in motion to facilitate the passing of control of these realms to the French crown. An Alliance was first formed with these very countries, and then began talk of protection of these minor states by way of vasalisation. Brittany and Orleans Had allready agreed to this arrangement prior, and soon Bourbonnais and Provence Followed Suit.

To demonstrate the strength of this newly founded mighty alliance, the descision was made that the land of Burgundy was to be comandeered for the benefit of the french people. The King had noticed the potential of these lands beeing painfully unutilized by the current ruler of Burgundy, and royal counselers assured the king that the inhabitants of these lands would welcome the regime change.

What followed was a long and carefully conducted campain. With utter success, the French used time to their advantage and slowly rid the Ruler of Burguny of his realms. When only the capital seat remained under burgundy control, the cowardly ruler in an effort to save his own skin, succeeded the crown to Austria. Austria had as a nation been alarmingly quiet, and it is clear it had slowly been hooking strings into rulers of lower moral character. The area of Flandern remains under Austrian control and sticks out like an infected mole on the territorial map of France

After carefully converting the orthodox patriarchal basilica Hagia Sophia into a mosque in 1453, the sultan of the ottomans and ruler of the turks began watching to the west. He felt the need to strike further into Europe to hinder the seemingly emerging central European powers to get too close to the central Ottoman Empire. Thus he dispatched his generals into Europe for a series of wars that raged on and off for the better part of 25 years. Taking it easy and slow, his generals annexed country after country without much resistance.

It was during these wars that the eastern front was opened up. Georgia was quickly handled with a swift invasion. But the goal was to extend the Ottoman domain across northern Africa. Alexandria in Egypt was particular interesting, being a center of trade and all. However the alliance of Egypt and Persia was not even considered when opening this second front. When war was declared it was like hitting a wasps nest in Persia ans the small Arabian nations. Persia itself was not the target of expansion. However the quality of the Ottoman forces soon managed to get the situation under control and during two was Egypt was all but annexed. However large forces was lost in the mountains and plains of eastern Turkey.

For the last years the Sultan has been consolidating his forces and building manufactories. When the strengthening of the nation is complete the Sultan will decide where to expand next. Africa, southern Russia or Poland and Hungary? This is not decided yet.

Eftersom de svenska vikingarna var dumma nog att släppa alla landområden de tagit över, har det nu fallit på efterföljande generationer att återupprätta Svea rikes storhet. Fast denna gång började de i närområdet. En snabb stöt mot Estland och halva landet bytte ägare. Sen vände sig svenskarna mot deras fiende nummer ett, dansken. Först försöket var fredligt, vassalisering. Men den dumma dansken vill icke gå med på det och envisades med att starta krig mot Brandenburg hela tiden. Så det blev till att pröva en ny taktik, och just nu håller dansken på att förlora kriget mot den svenska vikingen.

In the year 1453 the great king of Portugal was tired of leading a small country at the edge of the known world and he set out to make Portugal one of the great nations of Europe. However he quickly realized that unlike the ruler of nearby Castile, portugal don't have any weak neighbours which they can exploit so the king had to make other plans on how to expand his realm. Then one day he looked out of the palace window and saw the ocean and a vision came to him, a vision there hundreds of ships in Portugese colours left the harbour loaded with soldiers and returned with gold, silk, slaves and other valuables. In his vision he saw Portugese ships sailing to the far corners of the world to conquer and bring home riches to the king. He set out to make this vision true, the islands of Kap Verde were colonized to give the fleet a base from which they could launch there expeditions and ships were built, one after one, until the Portugese fleet numbered well over a hundred ship.

The king had one problem however, no one in the country was brave enough to lead the expedition he had planned and the kings vision was about to not be fulfilled when a young man walked into the court and proclaimed that he was brave enough to lead the expedition, he was immediatly proclaimed the grand admiral of the portugese fleet and Lord of the seas and the next day he set sail south along the african coast!

The exedition sailed along the coast and were able to reach India before they had to turn back! While the great expedition was away more commanders became brave enough to take their ships out into uncharted waters and another expedition was sent west from Kap verde, this expedition returned with news of a great country called Brazil which were open to settlers from Portugal!

At the beginning of the year 1483 the portugese king has many choices to make, should he expand the realm west to Brazil or east to India?

With the second half of the 15th century came the insight in Moscow that the Russian people, while numerous and widely spread, lacked a common vision. While the few brave souls living to the north quickly joined the fatherland the Novgorod oppressors in the north-western provinces had to be driven out by force. However, despite early successes the Russian troops soon had to be withdrawn to help fight back the cowardly attacks from the opportunist of Lithuania and Poland to west and The Golden Hordes to the south and east. Peace was eventually restored, but the unification of Russia had come to a standstill.
Evil tongues whisper that the reason for this has been a almost complete lack of competent leadership, but that could of course not be further from the truth! The Russian Bear will soon awaken from its slumber!

Three great hurdles in Africa

At the tend of the 15th century the Sultan was very thirsty. So the Ottomans began a huge project to build wine manufactories. To meet the demand of the palace court, they eventually built five band new manufactories. Luckily there was an exceptional year in between that sped up the construction. Meanwhile the sultan saw that the Ottoman Empire had a good chance to unite all neighboring friendly cultures under the Ottoman banner. This meant that the brave Ottoman soldiers now had to withstand a few years of blistering cold in the harsh southern Russian territories to unite all Georgian cultures into the Empire. Looting the whole of the Golden Horde for a few years meant that the wine manufactories building was significantly sped up. The Ottomans also managed to secure the rich gold mine in northern parts of the Golden Horde, which pleased the Sultan.

When this campaign was complete the Sultan turned to Africa. The forces was well prepared but the campaign hit three major hurdles. First there was an Ottoman negotiator that accepted peace with Tripoli without the Sultans permission. He was quickly executed. With a new war to vassalize Tripoli the invasion was again on its way. Then, Tripolis southern territories was captured by the Algerians, which also blocked the way for the invasion. This was solved with military access, but it also meant that the land connection will remain broken for an unforeseeable future. Thirdly, some moronic Africans decided to wage war against the same tribe as we the Ottomans was invading. This meant that the Sultan had to start a new war with this other tribe before the first could be annexed. All this was very taxing on the sultans mind. Luckily he had as much wine as he could possibly want.

America, Austria and Amehran

In 1483 the British King had ended his imminent plans of expansion in Europe. A long and fruitful time of peace was to come. During this time, that the rest of Europe spent mostly at war, the English economy blossomed. The king who was aware that such times could not last forever spent much gold to improve the economy and also to construct the biggest fleet yet to set sail on any ocean. The years past and rumours came from the Iberian peninsula that riches in abundance could be found in the far west. The king enlisted the services of Calbot Senior, an explorer that had long been advocating for a mission to the west. So far his furthest voyage had been to claim the Danish colonies on Greenland but this was soon to change.

In 1497 the Atlantic fleet took on board nearly a hundred thousand English marines and set sail for Greenland under Calbot's leadership. Not many months thereafter they set eyes on a coast no one had ever seen before. Calbot feeling ironic dubbed it Newfoundland, a name that stuck in the companies of marines bored to tears on the ships. The fleet sailed down the coast and soon found settlements of natives along the coast. They continued on and not until they reached the first Spanish settlements they halted there voyage. The marines were now so utterly bored that open fights often broke out on the ships between them, Calbot saw what needed to be done though and set them ashore close to a nation of these natives, the Spanish so wrongly had named Indians. The campaign that followed took less than a year and England had now extended its influence to the American continent. Thousands of natives enlisted in the glorious English army as they rightly saw the power the English people wielded. Calbot wanted to explore the archipelago in the carribean further but an untimely death sent the fleet homewards instead. On the way back the marines were let loose ones again on the natives and yet another pagan nation joined the nation.

In Europe the provinces on the mainland had just been sold when war escalated once again between the two major German countries in middle Europe. The king of Brandenburg, the brother in law of the English monarch, took heavy losses and king Richard III saw no point in the war the Austrian Emperor waged on his kin. He therefore sent his greatest general Lord Norfolk, the veteran from the Faeroe Islands, to lead the English cavalry in assistance to his brother-in-law. In the mean time word was sent to the colonies in America and a large part of the marines returned, with nearly fifty thousand Indian recruits among their ranks. Norfolk had the Austrians on the run but they quickly regrouped under the leadership of the legendary von Frunsberg. The two armies followed each other until von Frunsberg fell for one of Norfolks ruses and were utterly destroyed. According to eyewitnesses of the German general's death, he cursed the Emperors illusion of grandeur with his last breath. In the north the marines with their Indian recruits landed and threw the imperial army out of Berlin. The war against Austria has now turned but some of the old enemies of the Brandenburgian king saw the opportunity to attack the weakened nation and at this date the war still rages on.

Ferdinand i Amerika

De första åren efter 1483 kännetecknades av frenetiska förberedelser inför upptäcktsfärden västerut. Skattkistor tömdes och inflationen sköt i höjden för att kunna betala för alla de skepp som skulle komma att krävas för en seglats över ett helt hav. Samtidigt som det var viktigt att allt gick rätt till, så var det bråttom; Blommorna fick ju inte hinna vissna innan Ferdinand kom fram! Dessutom hade Ferdinand hört det viskas om att även de lömska engelsmännen hade siktet inställt västerut, och han var fast beslutad att hinna först!

På våren 1486 skickades avseglade äntligen expeditionen från Andalusien för att inte återvända på nästan ett decennium. Med ombord på skeppen fanns - förutom Ferdinand själv, och ett antal rabatter - 80.000 djärva pikadorer och banderiljärer som skulle utvidga de spanska gränserna över ett världshav! Kvar i hemma i blomsterhinken lämnades Ferdinands mor som - trots att hon var en ko - var en mycket kompetent administratör, och som om sanningen ska fram utgjorde en långt bättre regent än Ferdinand själv.

Tidigt 1487 siktade man åter fast land, och det ett alldeles nytt och orört land - om man valde att förbise de infödingar som hela landet tycktes krylla av... Ferdinand var dock inte helt nöjd med växtligheten och fick flottan att pressa på längs kusten till de nådde ett tropiskt klimat. Väl där nåddes Ferdinand näsborrar ev doft nästan lika ljuvlig som midsommarblomster - doften av guld! Ferdinand visste hur besviken hans mor skulle bli om han inte tog med sig lite guld hem för att finansiera hennes fåniga idéer om infrastruktur och produktion, och blommorna i de djupa mörka skogarna såg trots allt ganska aptitliga ut, så 1488 steg Ferdinand i land i närheten av den plats som idag kallas Mexiko City.

Landet Ferdinand funnit var mycket riktigt rikt på guld, men det beboddes av ett sniket folk som kallade sig för azteker, och som inte alls ville skiljas från sitt guld för Ferdinands mors skull, så Ferdinand fick helt sonika förklara krig igen! Kriget tog dock ett abrupt slut efter att aztekernas huvudstad intagits med kung och allt. Aztekkungen var väldigt rädd för att dö - trots att han var odödlig - och överlämnade därför frivilligt hela landet utan mer blodspillan. Ferdinand tyckte att en man med så mycket makt över sitt folk att han kunde få dom att ge upp sitt land, hade lite för mycket makt, så han avrättade honom ändå... Efter att ha fått ett helt land fullt med guld var det en lätt sak att övertyga de spanska soldaterna att det var en bra idé att inta grannländerna, som också de flödade över av guld, och i början av 1500-talet var Spanien helt plötsligt den enda militära makten i Latinamerika.

Allt det där guldet som Ferdinand nu kontrollerade satte fart på ekonomin - lite väl mycket: Helt plötsligt gick inflationen inte att stoppa! Ferdinans mor, som fokuserat på att försöka producera vin, fick nu jobba hårt för att hålla inflationen nere bäst hon kunde. Med Ferdinand satt och luktade på sina nufunna blommor, hörde hon sig för hos de rådgivare som varit med Ferdinand i det nya landet. De avslöjade att de ryktades om ännu ett stort rike söder om Latinamerika, som om möjligt besatt ännu större rikedomar än aztekerna gjort! Som alla kloka kor visste Ferdinands mor att alla problem går att lösa med guld, och skickade genast ut nya upptäcktsresande för att finna detta mytomspunna Inkarike.

I början av 1583 var det fullt krig upp i det lilla landet i norr. Hög tid att säkra framtida oljereserver och det var därför dags att ta Norge från dansken. När detta var avklarat var det dags att utvidga riket öster ut. Först föll stora delar av baltikum, efter det delar av Novgorod. In the Year 1483 the French monarch had nearly completed the expance that was set in motion all of 30 years prior. The alp state of Savoy had previously been unresponsive to the Monarchs coercions and so military intervension proved to be the only option. As soon as the capital was captured, a new ruler was installed, and would serve as a puppet to the french and full annexation of the state was complete only 10 years later.

In 1505, the ancient Gaelic state of Brittany could finally be seen flying french colours. The Celtic pride still ran strong in these parts, and it had been half a century of preparation and indoctrination of it's proud citizens, and to see them bow before the throne greatly pleased the monarch.

It had been clear that further french expantion in Europe would at this time prove Costly. The great pace of the previous expanstions had raised great Animosity among fellow european states, and so the Monarch decided to switch his attentions elsewhere. There had been rumours of great unexploited riches beyond the great dessert of sahara, but no european nation had up till then been daring enough to venture forth through the desert. The french monarch set up a plan. The filthy arabs of morocco could quickly be forced to accept the french troops to move freely though there lands, taking what supplies they needed along the way. The natives of sub-sahara proved no match for the french, however the inhospitable environment was another story. Many a man fell to diseases unknown, and food was in short supply. Before long however, a mass of land streching from sahara to the southern coast of western Africa could be claimed for french benefit. As of this parchments writing, the western coast is beeing claimed and the riches there will soon be flowing into Paris.

År 1483 var den portugisiske kungen i full färd med förberedelserna för att utvidga det portugisiska riket till att bli en riktig stormakt! De modiga upptäckarna som hade kartlagt sjövägen till de rika länderna Indien och Brasilien hade blivit rikligt belönade för sina upptäckter och kungen började nu nästa fas i sin plan för portugisiskt världsherravälde!

Lockade av löften om guld och gräna skogar flödade kolonisatörer till Brasilien som införlivades i det portugisksika riket samtidigt som kolonier längs den afrikanska kusten grundades för att tjäna som bas och förrådslinjer till en fortsatt expansion i österled! År 1487 utvecklade strategerna på det portugisiska armehögkvarteret strategier och taktiker som skulle underlätta erövrandet av befästningar, och med denna nya kunskap skickade kungen iväg en flotta lastad till bredden av modiga portugisiska soldater för att erövra handelsstaden Zanzibar. Det tog bara några få dagar innan portugals flagga vajade över Zanzibars befästnigar men efter det gick kriget trögare. De dåraktiga rådgivarna till kungen av Zanj trodde att de skulle kunna trötta ut de oförvitliga portugisiska soldaterna och därmed få de att ge upp. Deras plan misslyckades katastrofalt och efter något år tiggde de om fred och Zanzibar överlämnades till Portugal för all framtid.

Efter denna framgång fortsatte den portugisiske kungen med att kartlägga haven i öster och den sydamerikanska kontinenten för att förbereda nästa fas i kungens plan, vad denna är kommer snart att avslöjas...

1843 var brandenburg ett land på uppgång. Framtidstron var god. De följande åren flöt också de på ganska bra trots några kommunikationsmisstag gällande ett krig tillsammans med dess allierade. Inga provinser togs över trots att flera borde införlivats i landet. Detta var ändå bara ett litet problem jämfört med de som skulle följa. Brandenburg tog först rättmätigt över sin ursprungsprovins från bohemia, Österrike vägrade dock inse legaliteten i detta och förklarade krig för att själva försöka sno åt sig provinsen. Brandenburgarna var inte alls beredda på detta tjyvknep och kriget och provinsen fölorades. Efter freden försökte sig flera länder på att attackera brandenburg: bohemia och bavaria bland annat. För att hedra sin överenskommelse med Österrike bestämde sig brandenburg för att inte ta fler provinser från bohemia men för att straffa aggressorerna skulle en provins tas från bavaria. Detta gjorde att Österrike förklarade krig än en gång. Denna gången vägrade brandenburg att förklara fred trots dålig krigslycka, de vägrade låta sig hunsas av Österrike på detta sätt. Kriget gick åt skogen tills england märkte vad som var på väg att hända deras nordtyska bröder och klev in i kriget med full styrka. Krigslyckan vände snabbt men fler länder tog sin chans att ge sig på brandenburg som nu ligger i spillror.

After having enjoyed a period of peace and economic growth Ivan the Great of Russia had finally grown tired of the unwillingness of Tver to recognize their Russian roots and instead strengthening their bonds with the equally stubborn Novgorod. In 1485 he therefor declared war on Novgorod and Tver were, as predicted, foolish enough to join them. Their armies were quickly defeated and the people Tver were finally liberated a year later. The Prince then cut back on the offence in order to spare the people and was, for the time being, satisfied with gaining control over Archangel when the peace with with Novgorod was negotiated.

This peace was however not to last for more than a few years - the sneaky Swedes, seeing that Novgorod was weakened, promptly invaded. Ivan III had no choice but once again send his troops to the northeast. Sadly, the Swedish forces moved quickly and only the province of Stolbova was saved. He thereafter moved back his troops since, although certain to be successful, a campaign against Sweden would be long and costly in both gold and blood.

The eyes of Moscow then turned to the south and lands occupied by the Golden Horde. Ivan was unfortunately not to see these old enemies fall - after one of the longest reigns in Russian history he died in 1505, being succeeded by his son Vasily III. Continuing his fathers legacy, the new Prince gathered the proud men of Russia and marched south. They swept through the plains, meeting almost no resistance, and had by the dawn of 1510 driven the Hordes back to their furthest province. This once mighty empire will soon bow to the might of Russia and its people will be free!

Sleeping Giant.

After 30 years of being in catatonic state the king woke up miraculously by a women healer, the king was forever in her dept but still decided to execute her as she must have been a witch (women doctors? I think not! Probably the same chick that gave him syphilis.). The world had change during his “slumber”. His former allies had been diminished and heretics had gained land in the East.

Friedrich V (which was the king’s name) used the treasures which had piled up while he was “out of town” (which is what he called those 30 years) and spend them on factories that could create a liquid to make him totally shitfaced. During one of his benders he declared war upon Brandenburg because “this must be right, otherwise others (bohemia) wouldn’t do it”. His generals waged war and seized a province and came back after a few years, victorious.

Friedrich then focused his attention south towards Venice, he took control over a bunch of south Italian provinces and drained them of cash. For many years Italians were slaughtered to fund the king and his greedy followers, until Brandenburg once again was attacked this time by Bavaria. The King felt sorry for the people living in Nuernberg as they had to keep switching nationalities so he decided to make them part of his own glorious country to ease their suffering (yes, it is logical, don’t argue).

After controlling almost the entire nation of Brandenburg some other country called, ingeland? must have heard about his great success and wanted to challenge Austria on a duel. As it would be unfair to hold this duel on either one of their countries they decided to use Brandenburgs diminished land.

Ferdinand i Sydamerika

Ferdinand upptäckte såsmåningom att den nya kontinenten var mycket större än han först anat, och därför blev han bara lite förgrymmad när han upptäckte att engelsmännen hade roffat åt sig stora bitar land i norr av andra infödingar; Det fanns ju trots allt mer än nog mark för honom att odla blommor på som det var. Långt nere i söder rapprterade spanare dessutom att de funnit det mytomspunna inkariket, och för att glädja sin mor begav sig Ferdinand av ditåt med en liten armé. Invasionen gick till en början bra, men det blev ett utdraget krigståg då riket var mycket större än Ferdinand räknat med och indianerna var av segare virke än förutspått. Den som försökt stoppa en rusande tjur vet dock att det är lönlöst, och till slut var inkariket spanskt. Ferdinand kände sig vid det här laget ganska nöjd med vad han åstadkommit i Amerika och begav sig därför hemåt mot Madrid igen.

Plötsligt en dag kom det brådskande bud från Ferdinands gode vän kungen av Portugal: Engelsmännen hade landsatt en stor armé utanför Lissabon och gjorde allt för att sno åt sig kartor över de hemliga portugisiska handelsvägarna. Den portugisiske kungen, som länge försett Ferdinand med insmugglade holländska tulpanlökar, undrade om inte tjuren kunde köra bort invasionsstyrkan åt honom, och det tyckte Ferdinand lät rimligt. Turligt nog hade Ferdinand redan en armé i måttlig storlek och med kompetent general på marschavstånd frånd Lissabon (man kan fundera på varför) som raskt kunde komma till portugisernas undsättning. Engelsmännen kunde inte sätta mycket emot de spanska gittaristerna/infanteristerna, men den engelska flottan visade sig vara mer svårstoppad och kriget drog ut på tiden. Ferdinand, som inte tyckte att krig var sådär jätteintressanta när han inte kunde vinna något på dom själv, tröttnade snart och undrade försynt om inte engelsmännen kunde tänka sig att köpa kartorna istället för att kriga av dom. Till slut insåg till och med de envisa öborna att det var en bättre idé, och så var det problemet löst!

Tvärtemot vad Ferdinands mor hoppats på, visade det sig att de sydamerikanska guldgruvorna bara spädde på inflationen som inget tycktes kunna stoppa, och hon fick alltså hitta på något annat istället. Gudsfruktig som hon var - trots att hon var en ko - beslöt hon sig för att inta Rom och Vatikanstaten för att se om inte gud kunde lösa problemen åt henne. Och visst kunde han det! Snart regnade de exceptionella åren in, och avlatsbreven gav en trevligt liten sidoinkomst, så den spanska ekonomin verkade vara räddad! För säkerhets skull började hon dock att rusta upp den spanska infrastrukturen rejält - ett projekt som skulle ta många år att avsluta.

För tillfället ligger Ferdinand på en icke namngiven blomsteräng i Andalusien och luktar på blommorna, medan hans mor fortsätter den ekonomiska upprustningen och skicka kolonisatörer åt höger och vänster, men vi får väl se hur länge det dröjer innan han för sig att blommorna doftar bättre någonannanstans!
