Hi there fellow kings or emperors or shahs or khans... well you know hahahaha

I'm having this terrible and repetitive issue with the corrupt governor event in the title, it gives you 2 options. One of them is compensating the people and gaining a loyalist stronghold but losing taxes (If I remember correctly) and the other one is telling them they should not complain therefore you got from 1 to 4 partisan units in such province.

1)The problem is that I have most of the Americas as Spain, several colonial cities across Africa and Ocenia and this event is firing at least ONCE a month, my empire is revolting every month even when I have adopted the church attendance or the bill of right ideas and kept the revolt risk at minimum. What is going on? it started around 1770 and it hasn't stopped ever since. I need to know what can I do to stop this or is this is a bug. I have been unable to update all forts to level 2 and these revolters keep using my preferred units to just run over my defences .

2)Second is the founding father event, I have quite an innovative society(+4) but a not so free society (+1), and yet this event happens every 2 to 3 months, I got founding fathers EVERYWHERE across my kingdom!. I know this makes quite more sense since I hit the revolution age and already got the Venezuelan quest for independence and the Uruguayan as well but I think this is happening too fast and too much, in essence... I have an empire that's about to crumble no matter how happy I keep my people. What can I do here? Am I forced to deal with this until they get independence?

As additional info I have kept my War Exhaustion at bay since I knew I was expanding too much and a high WE would make things worse.

Well as usual, thanks in advance.

Edit: Yeah! 100 posts! finally hahaha.

Well, I agree that the events are irritating due to how often they fire. However, the loyalist stronghold event gives you lower revolt risk in the province, so it really does not do anything but help you, for a very minor reduction in revenue. The founding father event is irritating, but I just let him be, and that point in the game, I can usually just absorb the increased revolt risk without any real penalty.

You're right, after checking things out it comes in handy to lose a few ducats in order to gain some loyalty but if this event keeps firing I fear for my treasury. I'm already paying too much money to pay enough soldiers at my frontier with France to keep them "intimidated"... man those guys... the minute they see you take troops outside the Iberian Peninsula they just go to war with you ¬¬

It's only 50 ducats...by this point, you should be so rich that you don't know where to spend all your money.
