I've read with a lot of concern a prevailing will amongst the forum members a desire to create corps based assets - mainly artillery divisions or the like. While I agree that it should be possible, I fear that it would be prone to gamey tactics. I imagine reading an AAR about how 3 INF divisions and 400 artillery brigades take out all of the Eastern front.
But after some thought I came up with a way that we could allow corps assets (artillery, AT, AA, etc), without encouraging gamey or nonhistorical tactics. What if a HQ unit allowed attachments (within its "division") to contribute to battle. I'm mainly envisioning artillery here, but I think that other brigades could be workable.
For an example, 5 INF divisions are already at max frontage within their province. However, they are stacked with a HQ unit that consists of 1 HQ brigade and 3 ART brigades. The 3 ART brigades would be allowed to contribute to the battle.
This would prevent gamey tactics, as HQ units are pretty expensive. This would give HQ units more value - sorely needed since their command radius would not be as effective with the change in map scale, and be reasonably historical.
