I'm playing Brandenburg/Prussia in a multiplayer game with an extensive "concert of Europe" thing going on. The world has been divided into spheres of influence and there is a massively complicated network of alliances and conditions enforcing these claims and divisions. I am currently looking to complete my mission "The Emden Company" and then "Trade in Canton," but I would also like to grab Bangkok for the monument and governing capacity.
The problem is that I do not have the coring range and basically every province on my way to Canton is owned or claimed by another major power (war is unlikely to go well for me because of the strength of alliances and my inability to project power outside of continental Europe). The best option, it seems to me, is to have one of my maritime allies who is already in Asia subjugate an Asian country for me (I would have to pay them for it or "owe them one"). However, I have not attempted this maneuver before and I'm not sure if it would work.
Could I still integrate this country outside of my coring range? Would I even need to, or do subjects extend my coring and trade range from their borders?
Thanks in advance.
