CORE2 Update

MOst of the vanilla files should be left untouched AFAIK. There are some new ones in HoI2, and I don't know for sure how moddir handles them. Things like the misc.txt and such. I'll make a note about before release so people can prepare.

Oki, maybe the first alpha release... soon? If the OOb for the central american nations is fixed... becuse I sure as hell can't find any.

There are some new graphics which have been completed which reflect the new tech trees and units. There aren't many graphics and none of these are new sprites. If there is someone out there that does sprites, let us know.

Check out Woland's work on the Stony Road site. He's just starting to put some sprites up (very labour intensive I understand) and they look really great.

I've spent quite a lot of time over at Stony Road forums looking at all the graphics being done there and there are a lot of talented guys around. The 88x44 icons are fantastic, but since it kind of breaks the PI way of doing things I'm not sure we would distribute such icons. There's also a size matter, but that's been discussed quite thoroughly.

If nothing else, we can always hope some of these guys start making CORE versions of their images once we've released. I've talked to Rommel on a couple of occassions and he's done a few aircraft icons, but I haven't seen him around much lately.

Right now graphics aren't a priority for us (besides 'functional'), but we'll probably look at it when time permits.
