Im tired of waiting really. Nobody can deny that this has taken a very long time to complete while other mods have already gone through several versions. (HSR for example). Im expecting something very good. CTD's are ok, a bad mod is not.
What's your problem Zen01 ? Afaik you didn't pay for the mod nor did the core team ever promise you a certain release date, right ?
If you prefer mods that are already out there, than play them and be happy when you get a little core-present for christmas, new year or whenever. And the best : you will get it, if you deserve it or not
Besides: Core is not the only mod, we are waiting for.

You have to realize a few things before you make accusations and comparisons.
#1. Virtually all of the modders for CORE are in the HoI2 Beta, we were busy getting 1.3 out there while spending our free time from our free time (beta took up most of our free time) to do CORE.
#2. We had a major mishap with the coremod server. It being hacked caused a major loss of information, plus communication. We had to rely on e-mail as the sole way to communicate and send files for a long time.
#3. We had only a few members doing a lot of work. While we are growing, the numbers working on CORE2 were significantly less than CORE1
#4. We have revised A LOT in HoI2, possibly (not quite definite) the most done in any mod.
Will this be the best? It is a matter of opinion. Will it be buggy? Most likely.

I agree with you in that this has taken longer than I wish it had, but that is the way of things sometime. As was mentioned earlier, some of this is due to things which were completely out of our control and others are due to an extreme lack of available extra time which I am sure most of you can identify with.
I feel that we have a good product to offer you and are trying to make as good a release as possible. I will continue to provide information to all of you so that you can be informed and not operate in an information vaccum. I hope that we meet your expectations. MDow
I am not accusing anyone of anything and i know that this is free and done in spare time. Im also grateful, but this does not change the fact that it has taken a long time. The reason im waiting is that Core1 was better than the other mods and im hoping that it will continue in this manner. This again does not change the fact that it is taking a long time.
Edit: Id like to help out to speed up the release. I can code, research and im a decent artist. I also happen to speak 4 languages including English and German.

I Was Wondering If You Could Let Us Know The Situation Is In Time Sense. Instead Of Checking Say Every 3hrs For New Infomation You Could Say How Long At Each Post, Before You Next Update Or Possiable Post. Appeciate Your Efforts. Thank You.
Thats a good idea. Let's say new info about work progress every two days. That's of course proposition.
I feel for you. We had hoped to have a release this summer and it didn't happen. When events turned as they did we worked on other things and then decided to integrate those as well (more tech trees revised). But if you feel it is taking too long time, then sorry, but just play something else or not at all. We won't make a profit from you playing our mod so we could, honestly (and put to the edge for the sake of the argument) care less if you don't.Zen01 said:

If you have many good ideas and prove to be a good worker then who knows, you may even get drafted to the development team. No one will be happier than we for quality assistance! There are many things to improve on. So head on over if you haven't already!
(It should perhaps be noted that our design philosophy is close to that of Paradox's themselves so if you've got a real problem with it you should probably seek out another mod - but it never hurts asking!)

STATUS UPDATE: Still working to resolve the remaining critical issues.
I know this sort of post like mine is useless, but I must not only state my sincere apreciation for those giving in their time working on making a cooler game, but also say I'm confident that every extra day CORE takes to get released means a better mod. I remember what CORE did to HOI1 at a time when I had grown tired of the game altogether, and I must say these guys surely put a whole new dynamic to it. I am confident I can expect just about the same from CORE2, so take your time folks! And keep the great job!

I wouldn't say that's a useless post. It shows the CORE people that they are people who support them and their work. I'm sick of people who are so unappreciative of the unpaid time they put in to this project. I fully agree with your post.
