I'm brand new to this Mod and have noticed a few things which I find unusual.

I've started the 1936 scenario as the UK and I can already build CV5, CA9 and CL10 but I'm not able to build any battleships at all. Is this correct as I can't see it being so?

In addition the UK has 224 IC which for a peacetime IC is the largest I've ever seen.

I've installed CORE over a fresh installation of Arm 1.3b2 and have installed the GIP and CORE colour pack.

Your help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Hi - I just checked the UK as a default start set up, and you can build Nelson class BB. The UK also has 251 base IC.. but only 73 usable.

You did start the game via the CORE short cut, yes ?

Zerachiel76 - check to see if your checksum is LXES. This is the correct checksum for CORE 0.40 and you'll see it in the top right corner when you start up the game.

Just a little suggestion from me to improve the mod. I love the cold war extension mod and it would be great if somehow you could extend your tech tree in the same way as I personally think that would be great. :)

If someone else has suggested this and it's been discussed I apologise.

'Isolated' countries such as SU can build industry from the start.

Countries like the UK need to research either 1938 Economic Recovery or 1939 Heavy Industry first.

One more thing

How come I can't build industry? Has this been turned off somehow and how do I turn it back on. I.e. which file has it been turned off in? I've looked in misc.txt but can't see it.
It's all directly tied in to the way we want to have the Great Depression effects to play out to the full... Those countries affected by it will try to reopen closed plants or upscale production of existing plants as the effects of the depression wears off, before being able to expand by building new factories.

Highly unlikely. We're stressed for space within the tech trees as it is with the 1936-1952 timeframe. And with HoI3 round the corner I presume interest in HoI2 will dwindle pretty soon, so it doesn't warrant the effort required.

I see your point about the extended tech tree idea, I only suggested it as I think it would only improve your mod even further.

Thanks for the info about the industry building, it makes sense.

I hope you make a similar mod for HOI3 for which I'm waiting eagerly.
