i play as germany and i get a couple of months in to it and then all of the suden its gos black screen and shuts down

I'm suspicious something is bad with your install as this is not a normal issue. Some more details on exactly how you installed it might be helpful. What is the cheksum?

The checksum is displayed on the general startup screen (upper right corner). The correct checksum is LXES, which would imply all patches and CORE files are the ones they should be. If you have a different value your setup is incorrect (wrong patch, perhaps).
Chaplain reported serious CTD behaviour whilst having the correct checksum. But this worked for him:
We are looking into a CTD that is bugging us somewhere (presumedly) after Vichy is created. That one isn't always reproducible though, and usually reloading the last save suffices. But apart from that CORE should be pretty stable, certainly more stable than you're experiencing.

It's hard to say without knowing exactly how you installed HOI2 and CORE. If you remember what you did please post that. Otherwise, I'd suggest reinstalling all of it and noting exactly what you do. If it still comes up with the wrong checksum we can try and figure out what is wrong.

the only thing i can think of is that i made a fresh hoi 2 arm instal and it was ver 1.1 so i upgraded it to 1.2 then 1.3 but even after i put 1.3 on when i get to the game menu it still says 1.2 and i tryed to put core over that
Need to make sure you have the 1.3 beta 2 patch for Armageddon installed and working first, before you install CORE 0.40.
