Only christians can be emperor, so going Hindu afterwards would be pointlessGood luck becoming Orthodox Ottomans, then Emperor, enforcing peace of westphalia, revoking privilege and after that going hindu![]()

Once you've finished the reforms, you don't need to be Emperor.
I think you can only switch to X'ian denominations. The only way to go Hindu is to accept rebel demands, which I think isn't possible anymore. I'm not sure, though.*Yeay* for consitency.
The -10% coring costs is Emperor only - also I guess you stay emperor once it is hereditary? Or can't you switch religions afterwards? (aka rebels dont force convert you anymore)
Might no longer be possible(I think it was before 1.8/AoW) but it used to be possible to change the religion group of the HRE so to get things like pagan HRE.Only christians can be emperor, so going Hindu afterwards would be pointless

Yes, but can you while you are hereditary emperor? You can accept the demands of religious rebels if their religion is a plurality in your lands.
Yes you have(or had) to be Christian at some point to get elected and pull it off. I presume the TYW mechanic blocks it but always possible it didn't or that Peace allows it still and not having AoW on is another possibility. I think I will test it whenever I get enough time to play without counting seconds.Only Christians.
