Perhaps there should be some circumstances where the name of another country becomes Serious Business, like how Greece is upset about 'Macedonia', and you can force the other country to change its name.
Seems like it would be good for MP. "Haha, what France? Your country is called Douchebagistan now."
made me lol- Welcome, great kings, on a Congress in Axum when we discuss imperial matters of Eastern Africa.
- I am Gelawdewos the Wise, the emperor of Abissynia!
- I am Sultan Shajar al - Durr of Mamluk Sultanate.
- I am Sultan Ajuran Gareen of Ajuraan Empire.
- I am chief of Funj.
- Chief of what?
- Funj.
- This sounds like a meal of bush folk. No really, how is your Glorious Kingdom named?
- Funj. It's Funj Empire.
- ...
If you are host and have the save game you can really easily modify the name and adjective of custom nations (especially those who betrayed you)Seems like it would be good for MP. "Haha, what France? Your country is called Douchebagistan now."
Not a real fan of Date.
It's not the name itself, it's just that I don't know how to pronounce it.
Did anyone mention the countries Air, Delhi, Itza, Buton, Luwu, Guge, or Koch? And I'd also like to mention that Provence and province confuses me as well, do you even pronounce them differently?
Not sure why you think these names are cool/funny - maybe they sound different in Japanese - except Koch, of course - Koch is obviously funny, but only in English. I thought this thread ended when somebody mentioned 'Wanka' - impossible to beat - beat, geddit?Did anyone mention the countries Air, Delhi, Itza, Buton, Luwu, Guge, or Koch? That's really not helpful. 'W' is not pronounced like a 'V' in English. It's actually quite hard to explain this without audio.Province is pronounced ''prowins'' while french provence, knowing how crazy French pronunciation is, may as well be pronounced "hot dog".
