Gotta say the atlas got me into the game, it’s pretty neat. Though I’ve gotta say there hasn’t been an assault mech I haven’t liked - king crabs are such a funky awesome creation. My new favorite is the Highlander though, I was introduced in that LosTech mission and I’ve never looked back. Such a badass mech.

Orion tube hands and Zeus bunny ears make the mechs sort of hilarious looking but still cool.

Gotta hand it to the devs, their models look phenomenally better than the old pictures and tabletop models.

Battlemaster and the Zeus.

I wish they would add the fins on the Zeus's shoulders, cuz THAT makes the Zeus look bad ass. I realize the fins is the Zeus X or w/e, so it doesnt fit the timeline, but it would still be awesome if they modeled in the fins.

Never was a fan of the TT Black Knight. But this version is has a very menacing medieval look.

Despite the fact the Atlas and the King Crab are just badass, I will always have a special place for the Battlemaster. It's just an imposing design.

But thank you HBS for bringing the Highlander back. That is a favorite of mine from TT.

Honestly, when the game can make fugly mechs like the Dragon look good, you really can't go wrong with your answer to this question. And that's a huge compliment to the devs.

Haven't seen many of them, but I think the Cataphract looks awesome.. I've perhaps seen 2 of them. Seems to be quite rare.. At least compared to the endless hordes of Quickdraw mechs..

I find the PGI models very hit-or-miss, but of the mechs in this game, the ones that stand out to me for looking exceptionally good are the Firestarter, Jenner, Centurion, Griffin, Cataphract, and King Crab.

Of PGI's models not in the game, I really like the Puma, Rifleman, Vulture, Cauldron-Born, Mad Cat, Marauder, Mauler, and Marauder IIC.

That Jagermech is the reason why Behemoth is dead in my campaigns. I started over a bit after Weldry because I decided I didn't like my character's callsign after all (dumbest reason to abandon a campaign ever? Possibly). In both Weldry runs the Jagermech murdered Behemoth. Dekker, incidentally, is still alive and well...

Dekker is alive in my campaign as well and apparently he is so happy he survived the first weeks he is now in a permanent state of blish (i.e. forever inspired)

Orion, Thunderbolt and Enforcer, amongst others. Can't say I dislike any particular mechs but I don't like Jager's and Blackjack's stiff arm/weapons.

Catapult K2 is the good looking beast :). If you run it even close to stock though, I recommend a pilot with high Gunnery (with breaching shot) and high Guts :).

The Highlander. It’s one of the MWO designs that actually looks close to the original TRO artwork, imo..

Agreed. There are some original TRO designs that I never really liked, but the Highlander has always been among my favourites. Looks great both in MWO and in BT.

My top picks in BT would be the Firestarter, Centurion, Black Knight, Highlander and King Crab. The latter just looks MEAN, imho even more menacing than an Atlas.

I generally like the PGI models. They are generally good looking mechs. My complaint with them is that a few mechs lose iconic features, like the Black Knight getting a more streamlined helmet.

Catapult K2 is the good looking beast :). If you run it even close to stock though, I recommend a pilot with high Gunnery (with breaching shot) and high Guts :).
The Catapults (both of them) look really good. They got a modernized look that didn't lose their iconic feel. I think PGI hit a home run with these models, and I enjoyed the heck out of a splatcat for a while in MWO.
