For those of you who have dynamic IP addresses. Go visit http://www.dns2go.com and look what they have to offer. You could have a static name that follow you whatever IP you have. Very easy to keep track of your buddies' addresses that way.

so true but a static ip can also be a major pain in the ass but most cases its nice to have same ip (as long as u dont have many enemies online that is) hehe

cause then they will be able to knock u offline whenever they see u since u always have the same ip therefor i say dhcp server

Nah, you just get a firewall, a good free firewall is ZoneAlarm. You can get it at http://www.zonealarm.com/

It is an excellent choice IMHO. I use it all the freakin time, and I am on a DHCP server through my Cable modem (but, let me tell you, it has saved my butt more times than I can count-And I don't THINK I have many enemies online...)
