I don't know how you can say that a 58,000 ton ship is puny... although they do look bigger in pictures.

Still, nothing is as impressive as a 'modern' dreadnought battleship, at least to me.

Look for a B-36 Peacemaker, if you can find one. They look truly massive in real life, much more so than in pictures of them. At least thats what I've seen.

In any case, ships have always impressed me.

Peacemakers look like big hulks though. Not nearly as elegant as a B-17 or Lancaster, or even an He-177 or a Russian Bear. And to be less elegant than the Bear is saying something. ;)

As for wondering how they got so many people in those things, well it wasn't very comfortable... :D

I saw real-sized B52 in museum too (think it was somewhere in Arizona). Also disappointed in it's real size :D . I think this may be the fault of all the Big Macs we'd been eating :D Can you ever imaging two huge 6footer all-american guys trying to squueze into a teeny weeny PzI :D :D :D

I never said the B-36 was elegant, although it certainly beats the Bear, at least in my opinion. They are definitly big, however.

As far as ships go, I think the million ton crude oil tankers and container ships are the biggest by far.
