What do you think are some cool nations and teams that you can play Hearts of Iron 4 online with?
I believe there are 3 types of multiplayer games:
- Huge multiplayers games with +20 players and discord, for the most part historical games.
- Small to medium multiplayer games that you usually play with a few friends, either coop or versus.
- Games with mods, such as Kaiserreich, Old World Blues or the Great War.
My suggestions are as following:
For huge multiplayer games - I think there are 3 tiers depending on your skill level compared to other Hearts of Iron 4 players, depending on how difficult is to play with that nation and how protected you are from the enemy nations, either by being geographically far away or having a strong ally close to you:
Low Tier Allies: Canada, South Africa, India, Australia, New Zeeland, Brasil, Argentina, Iran, Finland (when you go Communist).
Low Tier Axis: Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Manchukuo, Venezuela, Peru, Sweden (when you go Axis).
Medium Tier Allies: Sweden (when you go Allies), Mexic, Communist China, Philipines, Afghanistan.
Medium Tier Axis: Finland (when you go Axis), Siam, Mengkukuo.
Medium Tier Both: Spain (whether you go Nationalist or Republican), Turkey.
High Tier Allies: France, England, USA, USSR, Nationalist China.
High Tier Axis: Germany, Italy, Japan.
Dead Nations (meme nations): Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Greece, Nertherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Portugal.
