I don't really see that it's necessary to have a "historical" converter option. If you want a historical scenario I don't think it's that hard to set up. I think the converter is more for people who want to deviate from history, to see what might have been. And to those who say it would be boring to play such a long game, where you might have taken over the world by the end of EU3, I would suggest that you are forgetting how difficult it can be to achieve much of anything with a minor or non european power, especially on higher difficulty levels. Sometimes it's fun to play one of the small HRE factions, to see what you can achieve.
I would also suggest that in time, it might be possible to play from EU: Rome, thru a new CK, EU3, Vic2, HoI3 and possibly beyond. Remember also that each game takes a different approach to history, gameplay wise. EU3 is very little like HoI3.
