Converting save games

Hello,

our old savegame (last used with version 1.7.3) crashes with version 1.8. Crash happens for example when I click on new notification "Some Embargos are ineffective".

There are also some provinces as "Terra Incognita" and cannot be revealed.

I know support for older save games is limited, but it's hard for us to leave our 9 months old game. Could you please help me or should we downgrade to 1.7.3?

I can edit save file if you tell me what could help (for example assigning terra incognita provinces to some countries).

best to roll back to 1.7.3, IMO. Compatibility across major patches is a goal, but cannot always be 100%, especially with the vast map changes this time.
