Converting Provinces No Longer Gives Papal Influence?

I was playing as Castille and had finished converting Gibraltar to Catholicism, and the usual message popped up about how it was finished and I got +5 Papal Influence as a result. But when I looked at how much Papal Influence I had, I noticed it hadn't changed. I thought this might have just been a result of the new patch and waited for the new month to roll on by, but I still never got the +5. Was this removed in 1.8? Or is this a bug?

Converting provinces would allow there to be some kind of an actual use for being catholic and not in Europe. This absolutely cannot be allowed, since it would give a reason for non-Europeans to become Catholic. Collateral damage to Spain. Sorry sir. Perhaps you should try converting to Islam instead of the other way around; this is more historical just a half-millennium ahead of its time.

In all seriousness I think Papal influence being changed caused a disconnect and this may be a bug. I assume it will be fixed, but, I don't know if they will keep it at 5 influence per conversion.
