Converter greyed out

Converter greyed out[Solved]

My converter button is greyed out in the menu. Is there something special I have to do to get it to work?

1)I verified my game cache with steam and its says everything is good.

2)Steam shows that I own the converter.

3)The launcher shows the EUIV converter as checked

4)The main menu shows the converter as there but it is greyed out.

5) Game is patched to 1.11(ZWAC)

So what am I missing?

I saw this post in another thread about a DLC feature being greyed out...

Sadly, this means that the DLC is not entirely correctly working; it's registering outside the game (ie. in the launcher, on steam) but not within - AFAIK greyed out retinue tab only occurs if you don't have the DLC, not if you have too few troops to form one.
try restarting steam, and forcing a check on the files.
you could also try renaming the dlc_signature file in [my documents]\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\ so that it has to be regenerated.

If that doesn't work, the only thing I can recommend at the moment is doing a full reinstall of the game, including deleting all files in [my documents]\Paradox Interactive\ related to CK2 (or renaming that folder)

I am going to attempt these possible solutions and report my progress.

Deleting the game including those files in the my documents root seems to have solved my problem.

Thanks to ForzaA solution to a problem in another thread. Still have to get use to all these steam hic ups and their solutions.
