Converter Getting stuck when trying to convert late game saves

So i bought crusader kings after trying EU4, and bought the whole pack so I could play a single state nation and make it epic. However, my late game saves seem to crash the ck2 to EU4 converter. I've left it on all night to no avail. Just the crash screen.

I have ~3 days left for a refund. Is there any way to get this thing to work or should I just call it quits. I didn't want to buy any other DLC until I knew for sure the converter was working, as that's the only reason why I bought all the vanilla games.

Thank you for your help in advanced. I posted in two other threads but I decided to make my own as this is very important for me (game breaking for me).

I have a newish PC with an SSD so its not a hardware issue.

I've tried loading to a save where I'm not at war as well. I tried a 1066 start game and that converted in 30 seconds. The file size of that conversion is ~20 mb. The non-completed all night convert was something like 3.85 kb so its clearly getting stuck on something.

The converter only works at some point for a specific patch of CK2 and a specific patch of EU4.
If one is not the case, then the converter has issues.

That's very probably the reason, as it always was.
It needs to get patched and it (very) probably will be patched with the next major patch.

Make a bug report or start a thread in the general forum if you want attention and maybe get a dev reading it.
I don't think that any of the volunteer tech staff here would know of any other reason.

Of course it could be a (not enough) memory issue, but i doubt it.

I was about to make a thread about the exact same thing. My early game saves convert just fine, but my 1435 save with my huge empire that i was looking forward to playing on EU4 gets completely stuck and crashes the game as soon as i run the converter.

I have been having the same problem and so did some other person.
In the bug report thread of the latter a Paradox QA said they were on to the case, but that was some time ago.
I'm sure it will be fixed eventually but wether you are willing to wait until then is your decision.
