How do I do it? The majority of my vassals have become Cathar and there has yet to be one event that has a conversion option, this is annoying and putting down the revolting dukes is always impeding my progress, what do I need to do to optimize my chances of getting an event?

Have your chaplain research culture gives a chance for him to offer you to convert to heresy, I believe.

Also, have your heir educated by a Cathar. That won't convert you, necessarily, but it might convert your heir.

Get a cathar chaplain springs to mind. He might offer you to follow his enlightened path.

You cant hire heretics as your chaplain.
