Hi,
I've noticed that as an HM's government -- and I presume also as a Democracy or Prussian Constitutionalism -- you can hit the button to start a new election campaign as soon as the last one is over. My question is, what is the downside (if any) to doing this?
It seems that continuous campaigns / elections would be useful if you're trying to shift your pops' party loyalty, as you get many more election events which shift their preferences. Has anyone tried this? As far as downsides, IRL constant changes of government likely lead to instability and other problems, but they doesn't seem to have any impact in-game. You're forbidden from changing your ruling party during the 6 month interval, I suppose, but usually when I do that I know I'm planning it enough it advance.
Thoughts?
