A Child in the Reeds (From EU3)

Trigger: 1. Character is 30+ years old and childless
or
Character has trait "Celibate" and is childless
Player Character is currently looting
Must be Pagan
As I recover myself from the last raid in $PROVINCENAME$, I decide to take a walk in one of the local meadows. Here in the wilderness, my mind is clear and removed from the constant state of war my people expect from me. I begin to think of what could have been; raising a family rather than razing a village. I am teetering near the end of my time on Earth and remain alone; Sure I may have (character's wife name), but she has proven quite infertile.

As you continue your walk, you begin to hear wailing. You wonder if this is the banshees your high priest is always going on about.

After a bit of investigation, you discover a babe near a river with no village in sight. It is clear that he was abandoned.

Option A: The Gods have heard my prayers!
An infant appears in your court as a child of Player Character
Character gains "Kind" Trait
Option B: We could always use another Warrior!
An infant appears in your court
10% chance of Player Character gaining "Cynical"
Option C: Maybe I could have had a son if I hadn't sacrificed that maiden...
15% chance character gains "Depressed"

Event: Night of Her Life

Trigger:
-Character is male.
-Character has Norse religion (reformed or not).
-Character must be at least 16.
-Character must not be +30 years old.
-Character must be married.
-Wife must have Norse religion (reformed or not).
-Wife must have positive opinion of character.
-Both character and wife cannot be in love with anyone.
-Neither character can have children.
-If an event trigger is necessary for the contest, this event can trigger when a couple (who fulfills the above criteria) is recently married (within a year of marriage).
[Note: I intend this event to occur between a young man and his (new-ish) wife, which is why I included the age and child restrictions. Neither are necessary, but I felt like they fit well.]

Event Text:
During a night of passionate love-making, your wife, [wife's name], looks at you in awe.
"It's as if I'm in the arms of Thor himself," she says with a coy smile.

Option A: Hah! And my fists are not the Hammer!
[Wife's name] is amused.
50% chance you gain the "Lustful" trait.
50% chance you gain the "Proud" trait.
[Wife's name] falls in love with you.

Option B: Uh...thanks, my fellow bed...buddy...
The night of passion ends.
50% chance you gain the "Shy" trait.
50% chance you gain the "Humble" trait.
[Wife's name] thinks you're a dull lover. (Wife gains negative opinion modifier of you of -30, which decays by 5 each year. Or something else to this effect.)

If you're confused, this is an homage to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Option A is reminiscent of Captain Hammer's famous line, and Option B is reminiscent of a line Dr. Horrible says to Penny. Everyone else has some seriously awesome suggestions, but I've always enjoyed the humorous side of CKII. I feel like this event would be a funny way for a character to gain Lustful/Proud, fall in love with his wife, or make his wife hate him, if he so desires. :)

Event name: The men are hungry!

Trigger: Suomenusko character leading an army suffering from attrition

Event text:
"The march through this barren land is taking a toll in your army. Food is scarce and you have no knowledge of any fertile fields to raid nearby. One of your shamans report that a group of soldiers hunted some bears for their meat without performing the appropriate rituals for hunting such sacred animals."

Options:

[A] "Those infidels! Slay them!" Not available if character is Cynical (+50 piety, army loses 5% strength, 50% chance to gain Pious trait)
"Hunger makes us do desperate things" (-10 piety, +10 prestige, 25% chance to gain Just trait)
[C] "Send scouts to hunt more bears! We need the food!" (-100 piety, army recovers 10% strength, gain Cynical trait)

I like this one, except B should give you the arbitrary instead of just trait since your actually looking past laws and traditions and making your own decision based on your own feelings.

Event: The Niflung Hoard!

Trigger:
A Character of Norse Religion loots a holding along the Rhine.

Event Text:
Raven's feast upon the slain. Your victory is exalted before the Terrible One-Eye God.
Even as you and your men rejoice in the slaughter you notice the glimmer of gold by the water's edge. Curiously you and your hird-men trudge through the shoreline to investigate. You push the mud away from the glittering objects and realize that a vast hoard has been uncovered. Surely this is a boon from the All-Father, for the chiseled runes reveal this is none other than the Niflung hoard! However, dark clouds fill the horizon and the tides seem unsteady. It appears the Thunderer is less willing to allow you to part with such gifts. You must act quickly if anything is to be saved.

Option A: Have your men recklessly grab whatever gold they can carry and allow them to claim it.
+20 gold
+150 prestige
+30 piety

Option B: You notice a stunning ring with an other-worldy allure and grab it for yourself.

-100 piety

Option C: You pull from the mud the most impressive sword you've ever seen.
+2 Martial ability
+100 prestige

Option D: You tell your men to back up and let the Rhine keep its' secret. It was an honor just being allowed to see the mythic hoard.
+50 prestige
+200 piety

Title: From sea to sea

Trigger:
Must be Tengri
Must be Mongol
Must be Khagan with Golden horde or Ilkhanate as main title
Must own a county on the European/African west coast (Can pagans fabricate claims? If they can, it might be a good idea to replace "coastal county" with "coastal duchy/kingdom" or add a restriction like "the province must be connected to the capital".

Event text: At last you have reached the sea known in these lands as the Atlantic. The Mongol rule now stretches from west to east, from sea to sea. Noone can now question your role as the greatest civilization the world has ever seen!

Option A: "Even the other Khagans are impressed!"
Gives a bunch of prestige
Boosts every Tengri Mongol's opinion of you
You gain the title "the conqueror"

Question: I have an idea for an Aztec event, but I need to know a few things first: Is the Aztec leader in Europe ruler of all the Aztecs or only the eastern ones? Is he subservient to someone back in the west? What is his title?

Title : Your mercenaries want lands to settle

Trigger :
mercenaries are not your vassals
mercenaries took part in a major victory
you have more than 1 holding
mercenaries are raised

mean time to happen : 5 years

Event text : The leader of the "insert name" mercenaries has come to ask land for his men to settle as a price for the blood they gave to protect your lands.

Option A: "over my dead body"
lower relation with leader of mercenaries
if relation <0 the mercenaries invade your lands

Option B: "why don't I spill a little more of your blood then"
(available for cruel or arbitrary character or pagan)
leader of the mercenaries die
if intrigue high enough the mercenaries disband
if not the mercenaries rebell

Option C: "Yes you deserve it !"
grant territory to the mercenaries (cannot be more than half your holdings)

Option D: "Sure, as long as you swear fealty to me"
(need to be at least king tier and high diplomacy, more than 40 relation with leader)
grant territory to the mercenaries (cannot be more than half your holdings)
mercenaries become vassal
+little prestige

Option E: "No, I need you by my side"
(need to be at least king tier, high diplomacy, not zealot, brave, have more than 60 relation with leader of mercenaries)
the mercenaries become your vassal
+lot prestige

The purpose of this event is simple : weaken the use of mercenaries and by doing so the republics + add a little spice with war (knowing your mercenaries may declare war against you if at war for too long can add a little stress :) )
