I was just summarizing for the point of voting, as requested by a mod. The Dieppe raid took place in 1942, the proposed item has Eutopia declaring war in 1943, so that wouldn't work. You are free to propose a completely different history, but that doesn't work as an addition to what Busco proposed.

I knew that the Dieppe Raid took place in '42, but why did Eutopia declare war in 1943? America joined in 41, couldn't Eutopia join a month or two after Pearl Harbour?

There were no Eutopians at Pearl Harbor. ;)

Seriously, why would that (the attack on Pearl Harbor) make a difference to Eutopia? I think Eutopia's entry into the war occured most likely due to the inevitability of the Allied Victory and heavy lobbying by the Americans and British to help add a friendly port of supply midway across the Atlantic.

LaCrosse is derived from a native American sport, and so would not have had any initial basis here, as I thought the Topan stock came from a different root than did the Amerind, and that there was no evidence of contact between between them.

While the player community may favor American football, in Eutopia, it would be a fairly recent arrival, with the prior tradition being either rugby union (15 players a side) or rugby league (13 players a side, hence its French name - jeu à treize) which gives you six tackles (like downs in American football) in which to score or you give up possession. Therefore, I would suggest:

Participation team sports:
1. Soccer
2. Rugby
3. Cricket
4. Basketball
5. American Football
6. Baseball

Spectator team sports:
1. Soccer
2. Rugby
3. American Football
4. Baseball
5. Cricket
6. Basketball

In place of lacrosse we could have something purely Eutopian, like getting elected to office and then disappearing, or faking your own death ;) and then reappearing.
