I have been on a binge playing CK on multiple levels. HARD/furious, Very Hard/Normal, Normal/normal. Except for the hard/furious game Constantinople has fallen to the Muslims. No real problem with that, it's a game not a history book. My problem is that the Greeks don't seem to be in any rush to take it back. I have watched rebels reduce the great city to a hill fort. Do the Greeks actively attempt to take back the city when it falls, a sort of Byzantine crusade or is it treated just like anything else?

No there isn't such a thing as a greek/orthodox crusade. But it might be a good idea to have one so that the greeks/orthodox go after byzantion when it
falls

I don´t think it´s possible to make Orthodox nations go on a crusade so if such an event was made it would mean Central-European Catholics fighting for Constantinople.

There is a Crusade for Byzantion, though like other Crusades, it's a catholic thing. You could make orthodoxes to attack owner of Byzantion during that Crusade, but I don't think it would be at all handy.

I am not sure how the coding works but it would be nice to encourage the Greeks to take the city back, especially if it is completly surrounded by Greek owned provinces. Also does the crusade to Byzanton feature any of the problems that plagued the fourth crusade? Units and leaders refusing to attack other Christians and the like. I know it is probably too late but it would be nice for events to be added to the Byzanton crusade if it attacks Christians.

it would be nice that the holder of the BYZA tag to be forced to take back the city if he doesnt own it no matter whos the other holder muslim or christian.

A crusade against Byzantion will only be called when it is in the hands of muslims or pagans. If it stays greek/orthodox a crusade will not be called.

So you won't have something like the 4th crusade in CK by event, it is also to deterministic for the game.

a holy war to take back Rome (Constantinople actually :D ) is a good idea at least for the Balkan and Asia Minorian Orthodoxes and has historical background (the chase for restoring Byzantium after the Fourth crusade). the holy war (crusade) was not so alien to the Orthodox and especially Byzantine societies as many Westerners think. accutally the Byzantine wars against Sasanid Persia, the Arabs and the Turks had always huge religious influence. The main difference is that Byzantine "crusades" usually had deffensive or reconquering features unlike the Western ones.
