Constant Crashes

Hello,

I am a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series. After rediscovering this game, I decided to download it and play it. Now I rolled my game of CK2 back to 2.4, I have also disabled Conclave + content, as well as Reapers Due + content. The game loads up just fine, I go into create my custom Ayleid count, press play, and the game crashed. So do I have some content active that is causing the crash? Any help would be wonderful.

I am using v 0.1.6 general release (Zip).

Sometimes 0.1.6 installs don't work correctly due to the size of the file. I'd retry the installation.

Alternatively, you can download the SVN version (use revision 697) and you'll have a better version of the mod that's still compatible with the 2.4 patches.

Just tried it, Chrome won't allow me access to the site. Potentially unsafe apparently.

Just thought I should mention that I deleted my files, downloaded the installer, and attempted to play the game without any other mods active. Still crashes on the "Preparing for Battle" load.

What site? TortoiseSVN? Or are you talking about the Elder Kings url? The Elder Kings SVN url isn't supposed to be accessed with an internet browser. That url is what you give the TortoiseSVN program when you create a new checkout. Make sure to go over the instructions in the SVN thread again.

Nope, the last compatible patch to my knowledge is 2.4.5.

That may be the reason of the CTD I have with last SVN version : I play SVN 822 with CK2 2.5.2, after some random time of play I have a CTD (sometimes the game CTD while I am doing nothing). The more I advance in my game, the more frequent the CTD are.

I will try again with a version before 2.5.2

Just thought I should mention, the game finally worked, after I deactivated Horse Lords... so yeah there is that.

The public releases and SVN are NOT compatible with 2.5 and later patches. If the mod works for any duration of time, it's entirely incidental.

No no, I rolled my game back to 2.4 before trying to even play it.

Tried the svn version 822, using 2.4.5 ck2, with and without horselords, I must be missing something as it crashes on startup either way. Conclave is of course off, as is TRD.
I'll try disabling DLC's one by one and see if I can find which it is.

Well 822 svn - boots up with 2.5.2, will let you guys know how stable I find it.
