Console?

I'm at work right now so i can't look it up.

But on my keyboard at home, the key for the console for me is my key on the left of Pause, which i think is scroll lock.. and that's from a clean install with no modifications. But then again my keyboard is a bit weird.

Have you tried loading up the character map under accessories and looking for the § symbol. You could then find out what keystroke it matches to and then use that in the game to load up the console. For me both alt+21 and alt+0167 both work.

Not if you also can't generate that character in notepad. Either you're doing it wrong or there is something very strange with your hardware or operating system.

To repeat my earlier post, you should need to do exactly this:
press and hold 'Alt'
press and release numpad '2'
press and release numpad '1'
release 'Alt'

Finally some progress... its Alt+0167 but it still doesnt work... i know i occasionally got the console to work in eu3 but it would be off and on not always working and at some point it stopped and i cant get it to work at all.

Can you generate other characters in notepad by using the Alt+numpad method? Might simply be something wrong with your Alt key? I don't know what else it could be. If you have the Windows character map app installed you can get the codes there (not all of the characters have Alt codes though).

Alt+21 worked without numlock
