I have a unique-ish problem. I really want my Byzantine empire to be crushed by crusaders for RP reasons but for more than a hundred years the Byzantine empire has been ruled by their Eternal Empress ie there are literally no claimants left alive. Now there ARE ways to theoretically jank this shit up (tyranny) but it would require me to play her weird since she's not currently evil or insane. I could also load up as a vassal and try to fabricate a claim though she is very popular so I'm not sure if that's work.
So, is there any way to use to console to give claims to a character that I'm not actually playing? As I understand it the fourth crusade event can only fire if there's a claimant to the Byzantine throne + a Catholic merchant republic.
