Anyone here got a link to tips or know of any tips on how to record better cinematics using the base game options. I've tried a few times but its hard to get the scene moving smoothly.

Try laying an underground train tunnel along the track you want the camera to follow, then highlight an inbound train and enter free view.
This literally put your camera on rails, and allows you to zoom and rotate independent of moving the camera forward too.
