For the people like me and others who have come here, the game is no longer playable with the speed increase. I literally have not played it since the patch and I was playing every day previously. A change to a game that most of the players "hardly notice" and a pocket "absolutely hate" isn't really an improvement.
Yeah! i cant play after patch, well it is time to read a book!

Hopefully they don't break anything else while trying to fix the speed thing. Which doesn't bother me at all.
If I don't go somewhere and tell someone I'm going to stop playing their game because of this, the alternative is I should accept it and not play anymore, or hope that other people will speak up for me when I could be in a minority. Would you do that?

I'm done reading this thread now that I've actually read they are working on the issue (which was dated 2 days ago, I guess I just look in the wrong places). We're all trying to make sure we get the best game for ourselves, patches and glitches are all part of the process. Have fun playing!

Patches and glitches are apart of of process these days due to sloppy programmers who are too quick to release a product to market because they’ve all embraced the, “let’s shove it out, we’ll fix it later with a patch” mentality. And we gamers have let them get away with it so now it’s customary.

This latest issue with the game running at faster speed is prime example of sloppy programming. I’m sure it took everyone mere seconds to notice the game speed issue after installing the 5.01 patch. A blatantly obvious issue that any programmer who tests their patch would have easily noticed just like we did and should have postponed the release of the patch until that was fixed.

The fact that we have this issue tells me one of two things, either the patch wasn’t properly tested or they knew it was an issue and became a let’s push it out the door we’ll fix it later mentality.

It’s been one problem after the next, new bugs created after every single expansion release and patch with this game on console. These are signs of incompetent programmers. I’ll go ahead and bet that when they release a patch to fix this game speed issue, they’ll break something else. This is what’s happened since the game was released so why would I expect any different?

I love city building games, but this game has been a buggy mess on consoles since its release. I have yet to play a stable bug free game that works as it should. Ridiculous after all this time, it’s almost been a year and they still can’t get it right.

  • Some wrong changes after the patch1.8.0 24/09-18:
  1. - Soil pollution is now purple (not the screen) (i tried on the scenario "islands");
  2. - Disasters hit roads that are not among the spaces bought from the city (it destroys roads of external connection and can not be fixed if you have already bought all the spaces);
  3. - Snapping options (Mass Transit) does not work, neither in new map nor in existing map;

  • Tips for new updates:
  1. - Tool or policy for demolition of abandoned buildings (by mass);
  2. - A tool for building roads and parallel roads at the same time (of the same or different types), (side-by-side on curves and bridges or tunnels);
  3. - To be able to buy all the land, even if it reduces the original map (the city would be more realistic);
  4. - Creation of lakes, even smaller ones (placing water and drawing water to always remain at the same level);
  5. - Brush tool for trees, stones and other props (no need to put one by one).

  • Q.: The Chirpnado never appears? I've been playing games for months and I've never been able to catch him. It is only this achievement that I need to conclude the game: "What the...?".

Hello everybody, I am here to let you know that the developers are still working on the issue, you are not forgotten and we are sorry for the inconvenient, I assure you they started working on it as soon as you guys gave your feedback!

I completely agree, we paid for a developed game not a beta version

So, any word on a delivery date for a patch? What is your experience regarding these kind of things?

So any words on other dlc for Xbox one. I know mass transit was released last month but will there be a season pass 2 dlc like green city, concerts, and parklife. Like the update too, now I could detect disasters and only evacuate one shelter and not all of them. And for speed i don’t notice any speed I did 1, 2, and 3 speed and everything’s fine. Only one bug is that I didn’t get any asteroids. Everything else is good. Just keep me updating on when other dlc comes out. Thanks paradox for some updates that I needed. Keep up the good work.

Just out of curiosity, how many hours would you estimate you've played this game?

Apparently some guy did a stream with some members of the dev team and they confirmed that Green Cities and Park Life are coming to console. If I find the stream I'll be sure to post a link to it here.

Does anyone have a issue where the snapping tool struggles to stay on the object your snapping from/to. Like it go's crazy?

I'll try and get a video later
Yes I noticed the same behavior over the weekend. Like Chief said, zooming in helps some, but definitely a change from the way the snapping worked before the update.
