Hey everyone! We're happy to let you know that we've got a patch filled with fixes coming your way RIGHT NOW!
With this patch comes a lot of requested stability fixes as well as a slew of functionality! Find the full patch notes for each platform below, they should be fairly if not entirely identical though as they are seperate enteties you find them all below!


PS4
Console-specific changes:
  • Added new color picker for transport routes and Stadium
  • Added disaster detection information on main Disasters toolbar
  • Improved readability of scenario win/loss requirements
  • Areas now shows number of tiles available for purchase
  • Fixed some localisation bugs
  • Fixed some crash bugs

  • Fixed Crash mutex leak in AssetBundleHelper
  • Fixed goals panel not updating as well as scenario goals not being unlocked and checked correctly, resulting in scenarios with two conditions being broken

I'm on xbox one and noticed the speed difference aswell, it's as if the 3rd speed is selected automatically, as soon as I zoned residential and went to hook up my water and electricity supplies the whole are was already built on. Closed the game after 5 minutes so not even had a look at all other supposed fixes. That single change was a game breaker instantly for me

I hope the developers take notice of this. Can't really play this game anymore until this is fixed, and I was just starting to get into it again.

I am not having any issues changing the speeds of the game from 1x to 3x. I prefer speed 3 to be super fast when activated. HOWEVER, when I booted up an old city, I CAN NOT change from 1x speed to 2x or 3x. That was also broken with the new update!

I still can't complete the Trains! scenario on PS4. The condition for transporting 200,000 people using trains doesn't increase from 0.

Edit: Started a new save file and it's counting now

Edit 2: Managed to complete the scenario. But there were a few issues with failure messages popping up despite not meeting the failure requirements. Such as failing for being under 1000 population at 20 weeks even while being over 1.5k population

Hello, I've been playing Cities: Skylines pretty extensively on XBox lately, and the default speed is definitely much faster than I'd like now. It will change from 1-2-3, but 1 is not the same at all anymore - which is what I spend most of my time playing in. I hope that this is not a permanent design choice. If you want to give people faster speeds, why not add a fourth option? I like to watch all the stuff in my city move around at a leisurely pace.

Hi. Really love the game and new updates for PS4 console, thanks guys and girls. However your new update has sped up my cities pedestrians and vehicles. Will this be fixed? Also any new Dlc in the pipeline? Thank you

- When trying to place a watchtower I cannot rotate it anylonger. Haven't tested any other buildings.
- It is now impossible to turn off snapping. I now cannot play this game. *cries.
- Also, the speed thing. I don't know wether it is to my liking or not. I do know that I miss the old 1-speed.
- I feel like it is running a lot smoother actually.
- and the colot pallette. . YES!

EDIT:
I noticed in the changelog it said something about a paintbrush. Anyone know what is being referenced here? Maybe a tree brush in the future. Or am I dreaming

It's great to see the devs working on this title and providing updates. Like many on this thread though I've now noticed several things broken but these two are show stoppers.

  • The snap can no longer be disabled
  • The speed at one is just too fast
It would be great if we could see a hotfix being applied to help out with these.
