I really hope the Underground makes it's return with some of the coming expansions, below are a few points that I hope make you consider it

But I think an extra layer would suit the game well!
I really hope the Underground makes it's return with some of the coming expansions, below are a few points that I hope make you consider it
- The Underground in AoW3 is naturally generating choke points, something that Planetfall is missing so far.
- It has been a staple of AoW distinguishing it from other titles within that genre, Shadow magic even expanded the concept with the shadow layer (and this was a great game! Maybe even the best game of the series)
- The UG stresses the "exploration feel", even more than exploring ruins and whatnot.
- It allows for very nice special rules like digging tunnels. And with planetfall why not expand that? E.g. half the MP of flyers UG so they change from being the fastest above and the slowest below ground.
- You have done it before, so the engine is clearly capable of implementing this.
