Public Party Statement

We in the Conservative Coalition do not condone rebellion or the use of force as a political tool, and deplore actions such as that Gen. Hartwell is accused of. However, let us not forget the basic principles of liberty and justice upon which this Republic is founded. Suspects are "innocent until proven guilty," but the actions taken against Gen. Hartwell suggest that the current government thinks that the general is guilty until proven innocent. We must be vigilant to protect our Republic and its ideals from those who wouldst destroy them, but we must not forsake those ideals in the process. Those who would do so pose as much of a threat to this Republic from the inside by zeal as those who would destroy it from the outside by force

If you have any knowledge on Hartwell's whereabouts, it must be revealed to the government, or you will be sentenced with him if he is convicted, for you would then be harboring a fugitive. Bear in mind colonel, you have been in court recently...

Yes of course he's unavaliable, a person who is currently in Iraq is not really the most avaliable person now is he?
And the reason Lt. General Hartwell is in Iraq and therefore unavaliable is becuase the MDIA sent him there a while back.

The MDIA offered Hartwell the chance to go. Hartwell said no. Then he said that he was going to Iraq on holiday and for a little business. Hartwell went on his own, it was not a government mission.
