"Consequences of black magic" for female characters 2.7.1.BPAH

While playing as a female norse custom character, I stumbled into a quite nasty series of events 20 years into the game, in which I began getting the consequences of black magic(Hunchback, Cruel, reduced Health, Ugly, Great pox, etc.) events despite the fact that I never even came close to joining the devil-worshippers, I never showed interest and I was never approached by a member of the cult.

I have all DLCs except for The Reaper's Due, and I use the CK2+ Mod(I have been clarified that this is a vanilla issue)

How can I fix this?

I had the same issue with 2 male characters in a row. Both my starting character and first heir. They both ended up dying of rabies because of this magic within a few years of each other.

I thought it was some devil worshiper "corrupting" me.. But all the events like you say refer to me voluntarily participating in black magic... Which is wrong...

A thing to note though to the developers. Is there absolutely no way to counter this!? Because once the events start, you can't even go into hiding or find out whose doing it.. Its pretty much guarenteed your character is going to die from all the horrible effects.

I never thought Devil Worshipers were too OP this patch until this happened to me and now seeing the effects from the victims point of view.. Well now I changed my mind.. Seriously I go from attractive to ugly because someone wished it so?? Wtf that makes no logical sense.

I think I have discovered the problem, in this thread. If you are not playing ironman, you should be able to delete the listed part from the save and go on about your life. Haven't checked it to be totally sure, but I think it the most likely culprit.

I assume this is from MNM.7819 and 7820 in the mnm_devil_worshipers_events file. Caused by the tainted touch power, it seems to be giving the major and minor soul corruption to the target (instead of the user?).

I did not research it further, but that sounds likely. It is definitely giving the wrong result (soul corruption for some sort of curse).
