Conquest patch is for users who purchased the conquest PACK from SF which included EU2.

It is put out by SF and not supported by Paradox, same with the version that shipped with CotN. However regular EU2 patches will most likely work. THe patch on the SF site for this particular version has to do with correcting errors in their install program, which fails to put a save game folder in, thus causing a crash, when the autosave or a manual save is attempted.
