Is it true that CK II games beginning with The Old Gods addition cannot convert to EU IV Conquest of Paradise games with the new continents option?

Is it true that CK II games beginning with The Old Gods addition cannot convert to EU IV Conquest of Paradise games with the new continents option?

From what I have read, Paradox says you can't, but it will properly work anyway as long as Sunset Invasion is disabled upon conversion.

Random New World works unless you have Sunset Invasion enabled.
